I always remember my dad not having any meat on this day, but, by 11pm, he’d be asking my mom what time it is because he felt “weak” from not eating g meat. My mom would tell my dad the time adding that only 5 min. Past from the last time he asked her. 2 minutes after midnight, he would be raiding the fridge for luncheon meat, kielbasa whatever meat he could grab.
