This is a really interesting expression, combining two French elements to warn against what is about to happen - and one that should be heeded by all passersby! The trajectory from a third floor window would be as long as the roots of an alpha plant, and the velocity would be impressive. Thank goodness for indoor plumbing, I say!

I did not know about the alfalfa plant..that is one long root. I wonder if the dandelion is the same. :)) As for Gardyloo, now I know what not to say if Trump, Vance and his butt kissing minions walk under my windows.
