Ketch-Up Day

How are you? What's new?

We got some rain Sunday night.  Who would have thought those crystalline droplets could fill a person with so much joy? I swear the plants and trees were smiling. The birds certainly were;)  It has been so dry here. We are still in drought conditions. My relatives in Illinois have gotten more rain than they need as has a county over from us. It's like, most days, Mother Nature gets to our area and she's all rained out.  Toes-crossed that is going to change out. What about you? What's the weather like in your area?

My buddy's husband was in the car munching on chips which attracted the birds.  Pretty cute, huh?

Now the location of where they were at : Bodega Bay, where the famous Hitchcock thriller THE BIRDS was filmed.

And on that note, I will leave you:)

The filming location is interesting.
The creature looks like a toad.

I have visited Bodega Bay, a great spot for birders and naturalists in general. As for our weather, it has by and large not been bad this year. There have been a couple of dry spells, but mostly we have had enough rain to keep everything green. Must be our virtuous way of life! No blood sports on the lawn here!

Your day lilies are gorgeous. I miss mine. They were along the property line and my neighbor dug them up when he put in that ghastly fence which killed my view in my front yard. Bodega Bay sounds like a birder's paradise.

I like the flowers.
Wow--rain! It's been mostly hot in my area.

Hi Andrew, You are correct, it is a toad;)
It does look like an interesting place. I've never been there. Apparently, they still have plenty of birds in the Bay. Heh.

Hi David, I'm glad you've had the opportunity to visit Bodega Bay. Also glad to hear your weather is holding. Unfortunately, virtue seems in short supply here these days:(

Beautiful flowers, Sandra. I love ❤️ the cat 🐈 and toad as well.

Thank you, Jamie. I hear ya on the heat, especially when not getting the rain.

I hate hearing about your day lilies, Elizabeth. If you were closer, I'd give you some starters.
'The Birds' certainly seem to like Bodega Bay, don't they? And if it's got David's seal of approval, the birders must also:)

It rained Sunday night here as well. It was much needed after the heatwave we had. Today, it is a bit cooler but, we still need more rain. I had a rough weekend my mother had to be rushed to the ER she is not doing well and I am exhausted.

Where is Hitchcock? Those birds will just do anything for food...like my dog, Harley. I am so glad you got rain. I wonder what is going on. We have had steam heat on the weekend, and then it dropped to a wonderful 73F with no humidity followed by rain. It might hit us ...or not. My joints feel it big time, unfortunately. I had too much pain where I was whimpering just to ease things, I guess. I couldn't cry but I wanted to. Im a little better, but not great. On a better note, I still love smelling the flowers and seeing the beauty. Speaking of beauty, love your sweet pussy cat.

We've been in a dry spell too, though have had rain this week at long last. I think some is due today, too. I'm very glad you got it there -- you really needed it.

Thanks, JP:) Sending you hugs,

Oh, True. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Take care of yourself and don't you come down sick too.

Birgit, The weather is totally unpredictable these days and I don't see it getting any better with the lack of focus on the future of the planet, do you?
I am so sorry you are having to deal with so much pain. I truly hope you are better soon.
Maisie thanks you and says meow:)

Thanks, Jeanie. Glad you are getting rain too.
Droughts make me very nervous.
