My mother-in-law! Oy vey, how she could kvetch. Kvetch about this, kvetch about that, especially her kids and her grandchildren, who were all ungrateful sods and took on as their mission in life ways to irritate her. I bet she kvetched to the undertaker when he was laying her out for the funeral!
I knew "kvetch"....I had a Jewish friend years ago and she often used this term, but coupled with another. "Yenta kvetch", which she said means "loud mouth complainer". :)
Oh, I used that word. I grew up with it because my mom used it even though she was not Jewish. She was..is German and could understand Yiddish because it seems to be connected to German. I don't know how, but it is.
