I spent a portion of the weekend--the portion that wasn't spent painting--:) out on the porch with the laptop, the book Catching Fire, doves, squirrels, titmice, chickadees, cardinals, woodpeckers, owls--'who' I hear but never see--and of course, the cat. Its unbelievably restful. The redbuds, forsythia, daffodils, and tulips are all in bloom. The birds chirp back and forth. I can watch a squirrel build its nest. The breeze is gentle. The leaves on the side of the property are so thick, a single squirrel sounds like a marauding elephant as it goes scampering through. Its time to get out the hummingbird feeder.
