I finished my WIP today. And its only taken forever. It's off to a few kind souls who have agreed to be readers and then to my agent. While, I'm waiting for responses, I'm going to convert Shardai to paper. Gosh I feel so industrious. grin.I ran across another quotable. This one was from Sue Grafton's 'C' Is For Corpse. "I'm not a process person. I like goals and closure, the arrival instead of the journey itself." Can't you relate with that? Whether you're writing, sewing, cooking, or reading a good book, aren't you excited to start and impatient to finish? I know I am.
So what's on your agenda? Have you finished an 'its taken forever project?

Congratulations on making it across the finish line. I does feel good to have it done. I know the feeling though it was fleeting... I recently finished my wip and then felt I needed to punish myself some more (yes I'm crazy) and now I'm kneed deep in heavy rewrites. uggg. But I'll relish the day I can finish my wip--again. Congrats on finishing!! I'm THIS close to finishing my current WIP (two years of effort). I have to say, though, I do enjoy the process. I love coming up with the story. But, yeah, huge relief to get it done too.
Yay for finishing! Now the fun part: edits. I do mean that. Some people despise edits. I get off on them--because what's better than taking something and making it sparkle? (Unless it's a vampire.)
My big project? Book release. *deep breath* One day at a time.
Congrats to you! Always good to sit back and admire what you've done. I'm almost finished with the piece for the faculty art show next week.
