The
first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group
day. Members post about their doubts and
fears, discuss struggles and triumphs, and offer words of encouragement to
others who are struggling.
This month starts the IWSG question. Here's July's:
What's
the best thing someone has ever said about your writing?
Review of SILVERHILLS
'I love this book. I never read books this long but I couldn't put it down. I hope someone makes a great movie out of this.' Anonymous, Barnes and Noble
Best compliment ever:)
This is another short post, but I got nothin'.
I loved this book. I never read books this long but I couldn't put it down. I hope someone makes a great movie out of this.

What a lovely thing to say about your work. I bet you were floating on air after you read that review - and smile every time you think about it.
Fantastic comment, that's something to treasure! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
That's such a great review, for sure! No wonder it stuck with you... :)
It's good when someone say good things about your work,
Makes it all worthwhile.
Yvonne.
Yes indeed, every writer's dream:)
Thanks, Val. You have a great day too.
Hugs back,
Thanks, Heather:)
It does, Yvonne:)
That's a great one. When they want to see the story come to life on the big screen, you know they loved it.
An anonymous comment means a total stranger picked up your book and loved it.
I'd like to know them so I could thank them
A movie would be grand, lots of dough haha
Definitely what we want to hear.
What a wonderful compliment! First that this person rarely finishes a book but they couldn't put your book down and that a movie could be done...what a great way to celebrate Wednesday.
It means a lot.
Indeed.
Yes! Epicness and rocktastic times. I love it.
Thanks, Birgit:)
Short and sweet! To know someone wants to see your book on the big screen! AWESOME!
Thanks, Yolanda:)
My favorite thing was when a literary agent said my introduction made the hairs stand up on his (I can't remember.) It was a non-fiction book and I didn't want to do it, so that was all I needed.
Nice. I'd be thrilled too. :-)

Writing is an uphill journey. It's not something you want to expend effort on if it's not a passion. Was your agent being complimentary or rude?
Sounds like you're doing what you enjoy now:)
Thanks, Anna:)
A movie deal compliment? That is huge. I got that once with Hurricane Crimes. :)
I agree, great compliment!!!! Well done!
