Woodward, OK? Not that far from me. Gosh, those two really enjoy each other's company. They may have imprinted on each other when they were babies.

Oh, cute as it is, it could all go so horribly wrong. Nice to see a touch of Australia though, with our sulphur crested cockatoo.

It looks quite scary but beautiful at the same time. Happy Monday xx

Now that is an unusual relationship. Obviously the lion didn't grow up thinking they are food, so he still doesn't.
Bone-digger. What a name!

I love this so very much. It shows how friendships can form especially when introduced when young. These lions are rare so I'm glad this zoo helps animals out.

Stephanie Faris said...

Aww, I think Bone Digger may think he's a dog...

Pat Hatt said...

haha the lion sure doesn't see a hotdog with legs, amazing how some can get along so well.

How adorable. They're like a bunch of brothers playing together.

Now this is interesting.

Sandra Cox said...

It does sound like they imprinted doesn't it, Elizabeth?

Sandra Cox said...

I agree, Willie. I'm all for sanctuaries, but seeing an animal caged is hurtful.

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, Yvonne:) And to you.

Sandra Cox said...

Wouldn't life be wonderful if we could?
Hugs back,

Who wouldn't love a weenie?

I don't wonder. You should see my Emma, the dog, and one of the cats. BF forever. An unusual friendship, too.
Thanks for sharing, Sandra!

Real cool find

Glad you liked it, M-w:)

Sandra Cox said...

They're awfully cute aren't they?

Sandra Cox said...

That's a valid point, Andrew. I trust they've imprinted on each other and the lion will never revert.

Sandra Cox said...

I got a kick out of the lion biting the fleas off the dog, though it did give me a moments pause...;)

Sandra Cox said...

Yes, sounds like they imprinted.
And that is quite a name:) Hmmm, maybe a book title....

Well, I had to watch that entire clip! Animals never cease to amaze me and make me happy when I see them interacting like this.

Sandra Cox said...

I am too, Birgit. Though I would love it see every zoo have more sanctuary settings.

Sandra Cox said...

Grin. I bet he does:)

Sandra Cox said...

It sure is, Pat.

Sandra Cox said...

They sure are, Di:)

Sandra Cox said...

Hi Jamie,
Aren't they amazing?

Sandra Cox said...

Good point:) I love the ones you painted:)

Sandra Cox said...

I had a cat and dog like that! The dog would take down any other dogs that threatened his pal.

Darn PC. And you're right. Sometimes you don't need to hear to understand the message.

If we humans could only take a lesson from animals. Though there are differences, there are more things in common
