How is everyone? Did you have a great weekend and have you had a productive week so far?
Unfortunately, my time away wasn't for fun. My uncle in Southern Illinois is rapidly declining so all the sibs went in to see him while we still could. I'm so glad we got to spend time with him but saying goodbye is difficult.
Aging is a tough business.
Sandra, I'm sorry! Prayers for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alex. I appreciate the good thoughts.
ReplyDeleteOh Sandra, that's really hard. I had a favorite uncle too and was glad to be able to see him to say goodbye when the time came, but it is bittersweet at best. Sending love and hugs and hopes that his passing will be peaceful and without pain.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jeanie. I hope so too.
DeleteSending hugs and good energy.
ReplyDeleteReceived:) Thanks, Marcie.
DeleteSo sorry to hear this ;( Prayers coming your way.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jamie. Appreciated.
DeleteI am sorry about your uncle. Goodbye is bitter. You aren't kidding about being older. It is a struggle accepting endings. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ann. It is a struggle indeed.
DeleteSo sorry to hear of your Uncle Sandra..
ReplyDeletePleased you All got to visit and say your
farewells!
Family is very important...Not nice to loose
any of them...though..we must all face it one
day!
God Bless!
Thanks, Willie. I appreciate your kind words.
DeleteSorry for your weekend, you'll never regret it though. The sad times seem to increase with age. Have a better week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind thoughts, S.J.
DeleteI am sorry to hear. Getting older is not great fun. The father of a friend died two days ago and a close friend had a heart attack yesterday.
ReplyDeleteCondolences, Andrew. Very sorry to hear that.
DeleteI'm so sorry to read that Sandra. Getting older is no fun at all and losing loved ones is even worse. Terry and I are part of the ‘older generation’ now. We don’t feel it, but a quick look in the mirror is confirmation enough. Take care of yourself, sending hugs Barbara
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara. Right there with ya.
DeleteTake care of yourself Sandra. I know the feeling, nearly all of my family has gone, and many friends, and it doesn't make life easier.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Valerie
Thanks, Val.
DeleteIt sure doesn't. Hugs back.
Love to you. I totally hear you. It's hard to see loved ones suffer.
ReplyDeleteIt is for sure, Crystal.
DeleteThank you.
I'm so sorry to hear this and send you my prayers to you and your family. Aging is not for sissies as Bette Davis said and it's true but one needs to look at that he had a good life and did not die young which I think is worse actually,
ReplyDeleteThank you, Birgit. He has indeed had a good life.
DeleteSandra, I am so very sorry. Thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diane. Much appreciated.
DeleteSo sorry Sandra, thoughts and prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Yvonne.
Thank you so much, Yvonne. I appreciate your kind words.
DeleteSo sorry to read that not good news.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you - take care...
Thank you, M-w. I appreciate the good thoughts.
DeleteSo sorry for the situation. It's hard to see loved ones fading. How nice, though, for him, that you and your sibs went to see him while you could. I'm sure it was fulfilling for him. I'll be thinking of you in coming days.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Elizabeth. I appreciate your good thoughts.
DeleteSorry to hear. Aging sure does suck
ReplyDeleteIt sure does, Pat.
DeleteVery sad and my thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lee. I appreciate that.
DeleteSo sorry, Sandra. My dad used to say, Aging isn't for the faint of heart. Good that you got to say a good-bye. Memories of happier times will help heal the heart.
ReplyDeleteAging isn't for the faint of heart is certainly true. Thanks for the kind words, CJ.
DeleteOh, Sandra. Sorry to hear such sad news. Stay strong. Thoughts and prayers.

DeleteThat sucks a ton. I mean... a ton. :( I'm really sorry to hear that, Sandra. Where's that magic pill when you need one?

ReplyDeleteThank you, Stacy. Caught the hugs:)
DeleteI appreciate the support.
I'm so late visiting today, all the words of condolence have already been used. I find it difficult to express myself in times of sorrow such as this, but I see you found the bright side, where you had the chance to visit with family and say good-bye to your uncle.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's hard saying good-bye, and the closer you are to a person, the harder it is.
Thanks, Elizabeth.
DeleteI appreciate your thoughts and concern.
Hugs
I'm so sorry. Hard times. I hope it helps to know many people care about you.
