This is absolutely incredible. I recently learned that there is a new program for feral and community cats that live their lives outdoors. They are humanely caught, neutered, have 3/8" of one ear cut away while under anesthetic, then returned to their community. If they are brought to a shelter that normally would euthenize them, the shelter will know they are to be returned to their communities because of the cut ear. I think that is a simply positive thing that someone far smarter than I came up with. I just hope shelters and vets in your area know about this practice.
He certainly didn't initially look too happy when the kittens arrive, perhaps just curious. There is a term I have learnt from https://catwomanflix.blogspot.com.au/, suitable for adoption as a barn cat. I think I understand what that means.
Thank goodness someone took a chance on this lovely cat, and to see such love between these bring brings tears to my eyes. Love my cats! Hugs and Happy Monday Super Sandra! RO
Awww. No one can resist the cuteness of kittens. No one. We adopted a cat that spent years roaming our neighborhood. I was stunned to learn he was neutered. There's another feral (I think) cat that we've been feeding for over a year. She (?) hisses whenever I get close, but that's a lot better than running. I hope to eventually lure her into the house since our winters are so bitterly cold. Right now we've built shelters for her, but I don't know if she uses them.
Yes, TNR has been around for awhile. I wish all townships practiced it. Unfortunately, it doesn't always save a cat that's been turned into a kill shelter.

Beautiful video, great to see how the feral old cat snuggles with the kittens. Have a good week, hugs, Valerie
I just love this Sandra, the old cat looks so happy.
My eyes are leaking a bit. How lovely that he found friends, love and a safe home.

How so very sweet. This is very touching
Nice he was able to be tamed. I did it with one, but it was still iffy to pick it up, it only liked a few people.
That was really sweet. Giving that old cat a good home for his final months was awesome and just amazing he took to the kittens.
that's very touching, especially considering some male cats often try to kill kittens that are not theirs.
Sooo, sweet
Great how he took to the kittens. Snuggling right up.
That is so precious!

It is, isn't it, Val?
Thanks. And you too, my friend.
He does, doesn't he, Barbara? :)
For sure, EC. Folks that take in creatures in need are my heroes.
Barns, with good caregivers, are not bad homes for ferals.
Thank goodness for good people.
Rescue folks are certainly heroes in my book.
Hope your Monday has been as great as you are, Rockin Ro:)
They all seemed happy to be together didn't they, Birgit?
Good for you, Steve. I love to hear about folks taking responsibility for a feral.
Awesome sums it up nicely, Alex:)
So cute! :-)
Greetings from London.

That is so, so beautiful...tears in my eyes here.
Very true, Adam. Though we were lucky enough to have one who played daddy to every kitten he was around.
Does a heart good, doesn't it, CJ.
It sure is, Pat. We all need someone.
I'm so glad someone took him in and that he has the kittens to nurture. I wonder how he's going to react when they're adopted out.
Good for you, Tamara! You make a difference.
They are precious aren't they?
Blessings from St. Francis, what a wonderful sentiment.
It gives one hope, doesn't it, Lee?
This is absolutely beautiful as I am now crying, love finds a way.
This was simply great to look at. Thanks Sandra for sharing.
Yvonne.
This is glorious, Sandra. Oh, watching those kittens with Mason just made me smile -- with little wet eyes.
Love!! My heart is smiling and I'm crying! Thank you Sandra! Big Hugs!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful video.
All the best Jan
