The roses.
A corner of the garden.
The liatris is a bit bedraggled after the heavy rains.

Heh. The umbrella is doubling as an awning for my Christmas/Easter Rose (which still has a bloom or two on it) since it does not care for sunlight.
AND......
Is anyone out there familiar with watermelon radishes? I'd never heard of them till I ordered this salad. As you probably guessed they're the pink sliced veggies rimmed in green. They are about the size of a tomato with a flavor much blander than regular radishes and very pretty. I'd love to have some more.
What about you? How's your garden doing? Have you ever had or heard of watermelon radishes?

LOVED your garden. Envy your rain. And no, I had never heard of watermelon radishes. I will keep my eye out for them.
Your garden is looking wonderful. Those radishes look fantastic, never seen them here! Got a few things growing on my balcony. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
I've never seen or heard of a Christmas/Easter rose before. That's a new one for me. I do love your hostas and roses, though. Everything is beautiful and I love the new garden art.
NONE of my veggies survived the hail and high winds. I'm going to stick with herbs this year, I guess.
I've also never heard of watermelon radishes. They are gorgeous, though. I loved the look around your garden.
Sure a fine stroll and nice frog too. Never heard of watermelon radishes either.
OMG - you have put in some serious work with your garden, and I'm super impressed. The HH clearly knows you, and purchased the perfect gift with the frog. (lol) So fun! Yes, I've heard of those watermelon radishes and saw them on an edition of Chopped on the TV Food Network. They are always throwing in a food to stump those chefs. But it is very pretty to look at. Hugs...RO
The umbrella is a clever idea.
I have heard of those radishes but I really don't like radishes.
Those flowers are pretty and colorful.
Beautiful garden flowers! Love the idea of the umbrella to keep the sun away from your Christmas/Easter rose...brilliant!
The frog is so cute 🐸
I have never heard of watermelon radishes and I definitely see the resemblance 🍉
Have a great day Sandra!
Hugs 💮
i need you here to help me with landscaping. Your garden is so pretty. Love the Mother's Day gifts from your HH. Are they solar powered. I've never heard of watermelon radishes. I don't care for regular radishes.
Love.
Ooh, great photos. Those roses are so pretty! And don't think I've ever heard of watermelon radishes before--interesting!
Your garden is fabulous! And no, I've never heard of watermelon radishes. I'll have to ask Rick to check them out when he's in NC next week!
Thanks, EC. Hope you get rain soon. Let me know if you find any watermelon radishes:)
Thank you, Val. It's a work in progress.
What are you growing on your balcony?
Hugs received and returned.
Your garden is beautiful! What a great idea about the umbrella. Our lilac has no blooms for some reason although my hubby said he shocked it last year and it took a beat8ng from winter. I will read up on this. I never heard of that salad but 8 don’t care for radishes
stuff around here is funky this year; winter carried on for almost 6 months temp wise so not much "bloomed"... it came back, but not like it should; the miniature cherry tree had maybe three flowers before it went to full on leaf...your garden is awesome; the fact that it's fenced, do the "crew" get to go out ? ☺☺♥♥
and radish of any variety is on the.. UGH...list around here !
Enjoyed your garden tour, I've never heard of those radishes.
Hi Sandra - watermelon radishes = amazing! Love the roses and your plants ... and fun froggy - cheers Hilary
never had that radish, but it is a beauty. I saw some at a farmers market that were breakfast radishes
Let me know if he finds any.
Darn high winds. We'll have a moment of silence for your veggies.
I was fascinated by them. I like the flavor much better than regular radishes.
Thanks, Hilary:) Those watermelon radishes truly were amazing. I'd love to try to grow some.
You might be okay with this one, Birgit. It's not hot, has a bland, almost sweet flavor.
The garden is a continual work in progress:)
I'd love to try some of those radishes.
YOU have a good one, Rockin Ro.
Hugs received and returned.
Everything is looking gorgeous Sandra! WOW!!! The frog and the create sign, really made me smile! Love those gifts! And, the umbrella made me laugh! You are very creative! LOL! I love regular radishes. Never had the watermelon ones. I have to look for them! Big Hugs!
Thanks, Stacy:)
Passersby probably really scratch their head about that umbrella;)
The radishes are delish.
Hugs received and returned.
Huh, not familiar with breakfast radishes. What do they look like, Steve?
I'm glad, Christine:)
Best radishes ever!
Yup, the crew goes out. We have the privacy fence and then cat arms attached to the top as an extra layer of security for the cats.
Sorry your growing season hasn't been better thus far.
You MIGHT like these radishes. They don't have the typical radish flavor.
Thanks, Heather:)
The watermelon radishes are such a unique vegetable, pretty and tasty:)
I'm glad, Regine:)
No one is more creative than you, CJ, when it comes to gardening.
The frog's lantern is solar.
The watermelon radishes are MUCH better than regular radishes. You might like them.
Thanks, Jan:)
Those watermelon radishes just so intrigue me. And they are so large.
Have a pleasant evening.
Hugs received and returned.
Thanks, Jamie:)
Thanks, Alex:)
I don't care that much for radishes either, but I liked these.
Really enjoyed my walk around with you ...
Aren't radishes delicious!
All the best Jan
Aww--thanks for the lovely walk with you through your garden. Needless to say yours is much farther along than ours. Lilacs are blooming and beautiful. Gardener Ted has blooming strawberry plants and lots of veggies planted. I've never heard of watermelon radishes. I'll have to tell him. Enjoy your plants!
