Monday-Tuesday

The holiday season has arrived at the Cox household.
The tree is up but not all of the ornaments. I'm running out of places to put them.
The HH is hanging the outdoor lights. We've had outdoor lights for many, many years. No issues...until we moved. Things have not gone smoothly.....
The workshop is set up and open for business. (Thanks, CJ:)
The HH got me the purrfect dishtowel and
a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, which meets with Frank's approval..
Now there's just the pesky little details of shopping, wrapping and cookie baking.

21 days till Christmas.

AND....
While watching the news of George H.W. Bush, what struck me was the constant mention of his kindness AND....(If I heard correctly) his and Martha's Christmas card list had over twenty-five thousand folks on it.
RIP.

You are STREETS ahead of me.
I have baked more than a dozen Christmas cakes. And bought three or four presents. Zip decorating. Ditto cards.

21 days. Thanks for the reminder, not. Yes, I can very well see you are running out of space on your tree for ornaments. Nothing exceeds like excess. Our tree may go up at the weekend.

Cats love all trees

Sure got the spirit going, hopefully the tree doesn't fall thanks to a certain feline

That is a funny little tree. Our main tree is a mass of ornaments we've collected over the years but still not quite as full as yours.

Wow, you're off to a flying start! Your tree is beautiful, and the dish towel is adorable. I'm glad Mrs. Claus is open for business. Is the Charlie Brown tree for Frank?

Thanks, Elizabeth.
I used to have a white cat that was a central part of my universe so I get many white cat mementos:)

Good grief! Over a dozen Christmas cakes? That's over a dozen more than I've baked:) You are now officially the Holiday Queen of Cakes.

Your tree is beautiful! I love that you ran out of room for ornaments. In my household that means pick up another little tree. (Don't worry about overkill -- it's Christmas. We need them in the bedroom and bathroom and kitchen too!) Love the towel -- purrfect!

I'm so glad, Yvonne:)
You have a good week too.

One person's excess is another's memories:) Heh. Over forty years worth.

Have a productive day and pleasant evening.

That's for sure, Adam. I've got a pic of my son's cat sticking his head out of the middle of the tree.

We have bricks around it under the tree skirt for just such an occasion:)

Give it a few years and it will be;)

He thinks it is. Heh.

Aren't they a hoot? I wonder if someone actually got them to sit like that or if it was shopped.

Great minds do think alike:)
Glad you liked the post, Jan.

Thanks, Jeanie. You can't have too many Christmas trees or ornaments, can you?

My hubby would love that dish towel! I love your tree and I always believe there is room for one more ornament:) I love those outdoor snowflake lights. My hubby bought a lot of outdoor lights last year and now says he may not put any up...Oh yes he is! Grrrrr. Love the tree for Frank who probably just brushes up against it in affection. Yes...I hung up my advent wreath that was my mom's..it is the first time I have not made my Advent wreath since I was 16 and I feel like I am letting a big tradition down and my mom and Oma and Oma's mom are all upset with me. Silly but it takes 3 hours to make the wreath and some pain along with it. OK I do go on....I have to bake as well and not sure when i will fit everything in.

RIP George H. W. Bush....and through to the end...and to his funeral service. Sully will remain his constant companion.

I stopped putting up Christmas decorations a few years ago now...there is just me and my two furry mates....I gave all my decorations away. But that doesn't mean I'm lacking in the Christmas spirit. :)

Wow! 25,000 Christmas cards is a massive list, and definitely screams kindness. I hear that over 42,000 people have gone to visit him. May both he and his lovely wife rest in peace, and I'd like to think they are holding hands in heaven right now. I love all your Christmas decor, but that tree absolutely screams RO(lol) HUGE Hugs...RO

My goodness, you put me to shame! I've gotten as far as buying key gifts for people, but the tree and decorations are still in a big box in the basement. And the cards are in a drawer waiting. Good for you to be so early, as this month is going to whiz by! Love the cats.

Thank you, Christine:)

George H.W. Bush was such an extraordinary man and did more good for all of us than we were even aware of.
You and the furry mates enjoy the season.

The more I watch and the more I learn about George H W., the more impressed I become.
You know, now that you mention it, I think I did hear the tree scream Ro:)
Hugs received and returned.

If you have key gifts for people bought you are well on your way.
