I took these at night.
AND....
There are a lot of good people out there.
AND...
The warm weather and the tulips popping up went to my head and I planted my rhizomes. What was I thinking?

AND...
We went to a luncheon this weekend and one of the women introduced herself. Our conversation went something like this.
She said, "Hello. I'm Sandra. And you are?"
I said, "Hi. Sandra." Smiling.
She said, "That's correct, I'm Sandra. Your name?"
I said, "Sandra."
She said, "Yes, I'm Sandra. And you?"
I said, "Sandra."
At this point someone stepped in and did the introductions:)
AND...
A Carolina Wren found its way onto the porch where two of the cats were. When I tried to get the cats in the house so I could get the bird off the porch, the bird flew in the house. After a hectic chase, the HH managed to herd the bird outside.
That little wren should have bought a lottery ticket because it was sure his lucky day.

Abject apologies, I've been falling behind with my visits. If I'm not at your place, I am on my way. Darn Netflix.

Love your garden. I have just finished a BIG bulb order. I am not going to admit how many I have ordered but it is in the multiple hundreds.
Hooray for a cat smart enough to bring her kitten to where it could be helped. And hooray for the helper.
Smiled at the twice Sandra story.
Your garden will be thankful to you! Loved the Sandra - Sandra story, too funny. And the story about the little Wren is good, too! Hugs, Valerie
Hi Sandra - the hellebores are delightful ... I sure hope those bulbs survive. But very pleased the little wren lived to see another day ... while cats are amazing - and here's to Sandras all! Cheers Hilary
Sure blooming early indeed. Great what some people do to help indeed. lol you sure had fun with the intro. Wren got away scot free, lucky indeed
That sounds like quite the adventure getting the bird out of your house. Funny exchange with that woman. She wasn't really listening well.
I'm not planting anything until April. We had a deep freeze the first of April 2 years ago.
So nice to see the flowers. There's snow and slush in my yard. Planting outside won't happen until the threat of frost is over in mid-May. Milo's story was very touching. I laughed at the intro conversation. Right out of Abbot and Costello. Wrens are industrious and cheerful birds. By flying into your house, s/he brought some of that spirit to yours. and also lucky that the cats didn't get a taste of the cheerfulness, too. Have a good day
Oh my! You have tulips coming up! I am wildly impressed!
Loved everything here and saying a bit of gratitude for your efforts in saving the sweet wren from a certain death (or at least, trauma!) (I know. I'm stuck in Netflix too.)
Oh my gosh. You are going to have the best garden ever!
Every spring they come up way too early. At some point between now and spring we'll get zapped. I must admit, though, they are heartwarming to see.
The HH is a good bird herder:)
We'll see:) It turned cold right after I planted the rhizomes.
That little wren did give us a run for the money:)
Yeah, the Sandra thing was pretty funny:)
Thanks, Hilary:) What a great job of capsulizing the post.
That wren was one lucky little bird. He came in one door and went out the other...after finding all kinds of interesting hiding places:)
It was an adventure indeed. On more than one occasion, the HH would think he had him when the bird had already scurried away to another hiding spot:)
You are a wise woman:)
Was that other Sandra, perhaps, Blonde?. I’m blonde so I can say that:). Ahh to see flowers s8nce, yesterday, I had another snow day. In one day we had snow, freezing rain, sleet, rain and then back to snow. Messy! I love that pussy cat story and so glad she helped the little orange kitty and continue to show love to momma cat. Glad the birdie is aok.
Snow, freezing rain and sleet...Brrrr.
I'm not blonde, but I do have blonde moments. Or perhaps gray moments:) Heh.
I love Carolina wrens. What a lovely thought of bringing his spirit inside.
You are smart to wait for spring to plant.
I think I'm going to have to get another hellebore. I love seeing them bloom in cold weather.
at the farm with a pet door I have had some treasures brought in to me in the middle of the night.
That was really a funny conversation with the other Sandra. Thanks for giving me a chuckle. The flowers are beautiful!
going on Netflix right now...discovered the Shameless series. That Sandra must have a hearing problem.
It's a good one.
Heh. I can only imagine.
It was funny:)
Glad you like the flowers. They are such a pick me up in winter.
Happy Valentine's Day.
I'll have to check Shameless out.
We're watching Death on Paradise. My favorites: Wanted and Longmire.
I liked your garden pictures.
Thought the Sandra - Sandra story, was funny.
All the best Jan
I can't stop laughing about "Sandra"! LOL! You must have been laughing! I would have! LOL! I can't believe your flowers! Holy!!! It's like you are in a different world from me! LOL! Love the video, thank you!!!
Oh, and speaking of can't stop laughing, that lucky Wren! LOL! I can just imagine everyone running around! LOL!
