Monday-Tuesday

Life in the garden...
The butterfly bush has all kinds of visitors. Three of these guys were fluttering and swooping together. I love watching them.

The HH has trimmed back the bushes. Yay.

My little helper. Thank goodness he's lost interest in butterfly catching, but he and the dog are putting a serious hurt on the locust community.

Our hearts go out to our fellow brothers and sisters, and their families,  whose lives were violently and senselessly ripped from them. It is still hard to reconcile what our country was a few short years ago and what it has become.

That is the sweetest video. If only humans could get along so well. Such a tragedy.

(I got my copy of Tall, Dark, and Undead. I can't wait to read it!)

Your garden is looking great. Loved the video, too, so sweet. The tragic happenings made me so sad, I feel with you and all those who take a stand against racial hatred and bias. Hugs, Valerie

Love the cross species, non judgemental support. We have a lot to learn from 'dumb animals'.
Your garden is great.
My heart aches for those affected by these latest tragedies. What will it take to make a positive change.

Sweet video. Your garden is gorgeous. I've had a few butterflies loving on the milkweed. The butterflies are so beautiful and fun to watch.

Hi Sandra - lovely video. The flowers are gorgeous, while the insect life amongst them is just right ... your little helper looks delightful. What's been happening is just too terrible - so sad for so many. Take care - Hilary

I love the video and it shows how animals from different species can get along. I love your butterflies and we have monarchs. We have 4 butterfly bushes and milkweed. We got monarch caterpillars but they were eaten. It is beyond horrible what has happened and something needs to be done. Maybe if the politicians didn’t have their money tied up in Guns and the NRA and be sponsored by them, more would be done in gun laws. Yes, people with guns kill but one can make it more difficult to get guns. Maybe when people get a gun, they get flintlocks like what was around when that dumb amendment was created,

You put a smile on my face, even before I had my first cup of coffee, Elizabeth. Hope you enjoy:)

Thanks, Val. The garden has been challenged this year with insects, lack of rain and heat. The weeds are thriving. Ha.
Thank you for the good thoughts. Our country needs them.

We do have a lot to learn from the critters, EC.
My garden thanks you.
In regards to a positive change, votes at the polls.

They are indeed a happy, odd pair, aren't they, Pat?:)
Yup, no 'high alert' for the butterflies this year:) Heh.
Yes. What our country has evolved into is very sad.

My pleasure, Yvonne;)

It is beyond horrible and something does need to be done soon. Guns kill. Money talks.

Sorry I'm late visiting. I voted in a primary today. I'm doing my part.

Loved the video and really LOVE your garden. Wish mine looked that good.

As for gun violence, I am a gun owner. I own a pistol. However, what I want to see off the streets are these LEGAL guns that shoot about a thousand shots per minutes. I want gun laws that discourage people who don't deserve them. I want the mentally unstable to not own guns. I think if we could get rid of big gun makers and politicians who support the NRA, we might get some actual REAL gun laws passed. And voting those who won't budge on their gun stances out of office will help, too.

Glad you enjoyed it:)

We don't own guns. I'd probably accidentally shoot myself or somehow else:) BUT I agree 110% with what you are saying, Elizabeth. Gun laws have stymied far too long by the NRA.

He's preening at your words:)
