I knew that! How cool is that?! It makes sense since most fly but what about birds that are flightless?? Are the flightless birds closer to the dinosaurs? A friend told me that the might chicken is th closest relative to the dinosaur which I was fooored by.
No, I did not know that tidbit, and it's quite interesting. My computer has died causing me to be hopelessly behind, but I'm at the library trying to catch up just a little and to say hello! Hugs, RO
I think I remembered that from years ago, but forgot it.
Elijah was a credit to his community and his country. He always stood up for what was right, and was always for the underdog. He will be greatly missed. Even while in hospice, he was writing summaries. He is needed more today than ever.

I did. I suspect flying would be impossible if they weren't.
I didn't know that. I don't think my bones are hollow, surely why the scales lie.
I didn't know, but it totally makes sense.
So penguins and chickens are too boney? lol

Yup, I knew that. That's why scribes can use the flight feathers (5 largest on each wing) of large birds (swans, goose, turkey) to write with.
Makes sense doesn't it.
Ha.
It does, doesn't it.
Ha. Ha. Must be.

You were ahead of me, I didn't. Interesting about chickens.
Good factoid on the quills, CJ:)
ACK. Computer issues are the pits.
Hugs received and returned.
Makes a lot of sense, I thought about that the other day. The weight of a bird.
Never knew that. RIP to the congressman.
I didn't know that. Cool. And I feel heartbroken about Elijah Cummings. So deeply saddened.
Interesting about the bird bones! I bet that helps them float, too. Sad about Elijah.
Interesting you were thinking about that:)
Yes, RIP to the congressman.
I am too, Jeanie. He was an inspiration to us all. And only sixty-eight.
Yes and yes, Sis.
