At times in the countryside you might come across a house that has fallen down or been destroyed. All that will remain is the brick chimney and some rose bushes.

And it could be ended by a hedge trimmer and some round up. It survived the luck game.

Wow! I did not know that. Where is this Rose bush? I have to share something that my mom gave to me. She bought it at a craft show. It is a piece of slate painted in toll painting of roses with the quote, " Don't grumble that roses have thorns...be thankful that thorns have roses". Isn't that a great quote!

Amazing. My next door neighbor had a rose bush she had brought with her when she moved into her house in 1946. When she died, her son sold the house and the neighbor put up a fence. when he did, he removed the rose bush and replanted it in his back yard because her son had told him how important the rose bush had been to his mother. I applaud my neighbor who could have just whacked it down, but didn't. Roses are so much sturdier than we think they are.
