Monday-Tuesday

We went to a Lee Rocker concert. OMG. He's awesome. He plays a double bass like most play a guitar. A little bit of trivia: his parents are classical clarinetists and his sister is a country music singer/songwriter. He wrote a song called 'If Things Aren't Going Right Turn Left' Heh. I LOVE rockabilly.

AND...
The Impossible Whopper (a plant burger).
Anyone tried it yet?  I liked it. It was a little dry, but not enough to be a problem. I thought the flavor was  good.
AND...
Hobos. Ever fixed hobos(veggies and  potatoes with butter and seasoning  wrapped in aluminum) on the grill? I've started fixing mine in the oven and adding a little olive oil.
AND...
The HH picked this up for me.
AND...
Got a surprise in the mail from Ro. Thanks, Rockin Ro. Love it.
AND...
Looks like the mum I had no idea the color of is the same as Di's, red:)
AND...
Saw Ad Astra. Enjoyed it. The special effects were amazing.

Oh my cod. It's carpet shampooing week. For those of you who have wood floors...Don't want to hear it:)

So what about you. Tried the Impossible Whopper? Seen Ad Astra? Like Lee Rocker? Got your Halloween on? Got mums? Shampooed carpets lately? (If so, you have my complete sympathy:)

I hear you on the carpet shampooing. After Jazz's first few days of dramatic unwellness there was rather a lot of spot cleaning. Which shows up the other spots.
Love your mums.

Wow, you have been up to a lot. That concert sounds like fun. Hobos sound great, too, but I'm not a fan of any burgers. The buds on my chrysanthemums still haven't opened and probably won't now! Hugs, Valerie

Hi Sandra - that's lots going on ... but the Lee Rocker clip certainly got me going this morning! The mums look really pretty ... I love the type of food mix that your hobo represents ... oddly enough I thought I'd have 'bubble and squeak' tonight ... very English post war (and probably earlier than that) supper dish. Count me out of carpet shampooing! Cheers Hilary

Lee Rocker sure has quite the energy about him indeed. Carpet shampooing is never fun.

I haven't tried the impossible whopper, but I would like to do so. I can't remember the last time I visited Burger King. I guess I can say I have my Halloween on because so many people in my neighborhood put out lights and decorate their houses for Halloween.

Love,
Janie

Friends of ours do hobos all the time.

We have a restaurant in town that serves those burgers and the way they fix them is to die for. First time I bit into one, I made my husband try it just to be sure I really wasn't eating beef.

Love this post so much! I've been waiting for someone I know to try that Impossible Burger to see how it really tastes (Because I was a little on the fence based on the commercial). I'm getting closer to trying it.(lol) You're welcome for the card, and glad you liked it. HH did a cool job and hope you gave him lots of hugs. That hobo is yet another way to entice me into more veggies for sure, Super Sandra(lol) without sneaking in some beef or something. I'm a fan of Brad Pitt, so this movie is definitely on my list. Glad you enjoyed it. I hear he's completely revamped his life and stopped drinking. OMG - Lee Rocker is fantastic!!!! I bet everyone had a great time at the show. Hope your day is amazing, Super Sandra! Hugs, RO

Lee Rocker was great. When he played Rock This Town, some older, gray haired gent in the front jumped up and started dancing. He was good. It was great.
If you try the Impossible you might have them hold the mayo. Whoever fixed mine--the second time--squirted so much on it, the bun was soggy.
I hope Brad Pitt is back on track.
I loved my card:) Thanks again. And my Halloween dish towel:)
Hugs received and returned.

Himself tried the Impossible Whopper and said it wasn't bad. I would like to see Ad Astra. Maybe I'll ask Himself tomorrow as Wed. is old people's day at the movies (discounted tickets for all shows) Never heard of Lee Rocker. I don't like country music. I'm all decorated for Halloween/Ink's Birthday. Every year I think about getting a pot of mums. Wood floors. 😉

I heard the impossible whopper is high in calories, not healthy...

You've been busy and that sounds like a great weekend with a concert, movie and all! Loads of cute things here, Sandra, and I love them all!

Love that cat towel. And that card.

630 I believe. It's more of an ethical choice.

Sandra Cox said...

Glad you like them, Jamie:)

Thanks, Jeanie:) Glad you enjoyed.

Let me know what you think of Ad Astra. We take advantage of 'mature' people's day too:) Heh.
Rockabilly is more along the lines of The Big Bopper. At least that's my take. Lots of piano.
I love mums in the fall. I wanted to plant more but it's so dry here it would take a sledge hammer instead of a shovel.
I want to see your Halloween and Ink's bday decos.

I don't even put my cleaning aid and brush away. It's sitting at the base of the fireplace within grabbing distance.

The concert rocked. Heh
A sigh on your buds:(
Have a great one.
Hugs received and returned.

Sandra Cox said...

Heh. I hear ya. It took me a couple of months to work up the courage to try one because I was afraid they'd screw it up and give me a regular burger:)

Lee Rocker gets the blood flowing for sure.
The mums thank you as do I:)
Enjoy the Bubble and Squeak.

Sandra Cox said...

He sure does and he's not a youngin' anymore. I believe he's been playing for forty years.

Sounds like a fun neighborhood.

I want Daisy to try it and see if she knows if it's meat or not, as I'm sure she'll have no idea.

I went to see ShaNaNa when I was little. Rockabilly always reminds me of my dad. It was his favorite.

I haven't tried the Impossible Whopper. I tried a veggie burger years ago and hated it and I've been resistant to try another. On your recommendation, I will.

The veg burger was delicious. My gr-daughter (13) is a vegetarian (proud of her) and this is a fast food she will eat.

We saw the movie and enjoyed the characters and how it developed.

Sandra said...

Let us know her reaction. Have you tried them yet?

Sandra said...

Uh oh. The pressure's on:)

Solar lite counts:)
Sounds like cold weather coming.
Yay December vacay:)

Glad you enjoyed the burger and the movie.
I have a lot of admiration for teens that are vegetarians. It shows a lot of character.

I love acoustic base. I must listen to this guy.

My mums were supposed to be tri-colored, however, I only see yellow and pink.

I love my neighborhood.

Love that musician! It must have been fun being at that concert and he really can work that double bass. Your mums look great and love the colour. I think I will pass on that burger and those potatoes. I can say my hubby makes a great dish with red and green peppers, onions and mushrooms on the BBQ. I have to see Ad Astra and I wonder if they are bringing in Space Cowboys into this since Tommy and Donnie were in that film.

Whoops.

The concert was grand.
Tommy and Don play very different roles in this movie, especially Tommy.
Feel good.

Love the towel and card from Ro!
Beautiful mum!!!
We did shampooing on our carpet once, in our old house! Yucky! LOL!
Big Hugs!
