Did You Know

Did you know that John Adams, our second president, was accepted to Harvard at age fifteen? At that time Harvard consisted of four brick buildings and a chapel.
Information gleaned from John Adams by David McCullough.

  8. That's amazing. I love little squibs of history like this. It's hard to imagine, I guess, but probably all our great universities in the U.S. started out as small buildings, and many of them probably small "single" buildings.

  12. I didn't know that either, Sandra. What I did know is, people at Harvard were terribly aloof.
