Did You Know

This one is a little macabre, but did you know your best chance of getting a transplant is over the holidays because of all the accidents?

I didn't, but it makes complete (and sad) sense.

No, I didn't know, sad but true. Hugs, Valerie

No...I didn't know that. I'd not even given it a thought...but it makes sense, of course.

More people are on the road at that time - makes sense.

Yikes! Makes sense but...Yikes!

Interesting if macabre

No, but it makes sense!

Something I didn't know but it's a sobering thought.

😮

Unfortunately, it does, doesn't it, Jeanie?

Makes sense.

Well that's a tad dystopian. But I never would have thought of that.

It makes complete and perfect sense. New Years Eve may be the biggest offender, but good for transplant recipients.

Someone's crappy holiday is a blessing for another.

Sandra Cox said...

It does indeed, EC.

Sandra Cox said...

It sure is, isn't it?

Our heart transplant friend received her transplant in a holiday period.

lol makes sense, but yeah, a bit morbid. Happy holidays for you but not for the dead person.

Sandra said...

Exactly.

Sandra said...

Yes.

Sandra said...

Hadn't thought of it that way, but yes, dystopian fits.

Sandra said...

A literal oxymoron.

Sandra said...

A very crappy holiday.

Sandra said...

Indeed.

Sandra said...

Sounds right.

Sandra said...

Yup.

Sandra said...

Exactly.

I'll try to plan any necessary organ transplants for the holidays.

Oh, that is sad, but with a silver lining.

Sandra Cox said...

Ha. Good thinking, Janie.

Sandra Cox said...

Yes, it is, Sandi. An RN told my sis in law that the recipient often picks up quirks from the donor. I found that fascinating.

Sandra Cox said...

For sure, Val.

Sandra Cox said...

Yes, in a macabre, or as Jacqui said, dystopian kind of way.

Sandra Cox said...

Indeed.

Sandra Cox said...

That's kind of my reaction too, Birgit.

Sandra Cox said...

It sure does. Though, now I'll be nervous about traveling on holidays:)
