Harriet Beecher Stowe had a home on Pleasant St. in S. Natick, Massachusetts. I grew up in Natick and used to ride my bike to the S. Natick Dam for picnics, across the street from the house. I don't ever recall visiting the house as I don't think at the time it was a place to tour. In 2014 the house was rented to a private school.
I most certainly did not. I didn't even know Twain didn't live along the Mississippi until last year. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat? You mean he didn't??? Heh.
DeleteI didn't. I wonder whether they had anything to do with each other. If they did I would have loved to be a fly on that wall.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Can you imagine the conversations? "So, Harriet, have you worked past your writer's block?" Heh.
DeleteNo, I didn't know that! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYour factoid for the day.
DeleteI had NO idea, but I wonder if either of their works influenced the other.
ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting idea, Elizabeth.
DeleteI really didn't. Interesting! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it:)
DeleteMust have been one creative block
ReplyDeleteBetter than writers block. Oh wait it was a writers block. Ha.
DeleteThat's news to me Sandra, thanks for letting us know.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Yvonne.
My pleasure, Yvonne. Hope you are well.

ReplyDeleteVery cool!
DeleteNever knew.
ReplyDeleteWho'd a thought. Right?
DeleteNo but that had to be a fun neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteI bet it was a hoot. Can you imagine leaning over the fence to chat with Mark Twain?
DeleteThat is interesting and had no idea. I wonder if they liked each other
ReplyDeleteAnother good question.
DeleteInteresting.
ReplyDeleteGlad you think so, Christine:)
DeleteI didn't know that.
ReplyDeleteA factoid for the factoid finder:)
DeleteNo...I did not know that.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I do have a copy of "Uncle Tom's Cabin"...it has been presented to my late grandfather in 1904!
Yes....1904....
The book was given to him as a prize...he was still at school at the time.
Wow. What a treasurer!
DeleteI didn't know that, and a fascinating bit of trivia, Sper Sandra. Hope you and your family are safe and doing well. Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, Rockin Ro. You stay safe too.
DeleteI'll return the hug after the epidemic has passed:)
No, I didn't know that …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Your Thursday factoid, Jan.
DeleteThat's pretty awesome - I wonder if they talked shop? haha
