Shudder. Krispy Kreme opened a store in my city a few years ago. It closed for lack of business a few months later. Himself was given one in their first week of opening. He had a bite and binned the rest.

Another fact I didn't know Sandra, I was at Charlotte airport some years ago enroute to Nasville TN.

To a huge and successful public opening of Krispy Creme here with long queues, it didn't take people long to decide they didn't actually like Krispy Creme and most outlets closed. I think there may be one outlet in the city still operating. Give me a jam or cinnamon ring doughnut and I will be happy.

Very weird. Never had a Krispy Kreme donut. I hear they don't taste very great.

I wasn't impressed with the Krispy Kreme donuts that Eldest and I bought at her Walmart when I helped her move in to her apartment. I heard Krispy Kremes were only good the second after they were baked.

Lol...I didn't.

Ooo, I bet those aren't fresh. Dunkin Donuts are better anyway.

This cries out to destroy health. I have never had any krispy Kreme donought. I wonder if bugs get into the machine if not cleaned out daily

I'm with Himself, but considering we are in the middle of a pandemic I think it's a clever marketing tool.

I'm good with jam or cinnamon:) I'm not a Krispy Kreme fan, but I'm impressed they are getting creative when many businesses are going belly up.

I don't care for them, but I thought that was because I didn't grow up in the South:)

I'll leave the light on for ya, Rocking Ro:)

I don't care for them, but I love that the company is being innovative when so many stores are closing.

When Krispy Kreme arrived in Wichita, I had to try them out. I really just wanted to get photos of their process because I had read they make their donuts housed in a see thru environment (before COVID, of course). I bought ONE donut and it tasted like a ball (or rather RING) of grease to me. For all the hype, I found the taste very unappetizing. Maybe the vending machine packaging will leach out some of that excess grease (grin).

Heh. I love it:)

I love Dunkin. Have you tried their French crullers or their coffee?

Sandra Cox said...

:) The donuts are packaged so it would be like any other foodie vending machine.

Ha ha. True. I believe the thinking is that it helps with social distancing.

There isn't a Krispy Kreme around here. I used to go to the one in Raleigh when I visiting the area. Those glaze donuts fresh off the belt would just melt in my mouth. Now, I have a craving for one. lol..
