Did you know, the most common tree in the United States is the red maple?
AND
I didn't. And a very happy birthday to Hilary.
No, but I am not surprised. Are they the forest trees that make such beautiful red scenery in your fall?
It's a nice tree to have a lot of! Hugs, Valerie
Thanks Sandra - I certainly didn't know the Red Maple was the most common tree in the USA ... it's very pretty ... cheers from a happy Hilary!
I wonder if elm trees held first place until decimated by the Dutch elm disease?
Interesting. Happy Birthday Hilary!

When my foodie friend Sally bought a new tree for her front yard to replace her dead one, she picked a red maple. I can see why it's so popular. It grows quickly, it is disease resistant, and it has gorgeous leaves in autumn.Happy birthday Hilary. I hope it was a great day.
