I most certainly did know that...I'm a Dylan fan.
If you've not already watched it, watch the documentary..."Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorcese"...it is brilliant. I've watched the doco a couple of times, and I know I will watch it again...and probably again....
