Ketch-up Day

Well it went from raining almost daily in some form or another to temperatures flirting with 100 degrees. What's it like there?

Meanwhile in the garden:

Such a goregous garden, Sandra. Love the view in Sweden too! Here, still going bsck and forth between hot and cold. Rain done until fall.

Loving your garden and the other views you shared. 100? Shudder.

Hi Sandra - love the garden ... I'd wilt if it was 100 ... here we're back with a hefty breeze - playing havoc with Eastbourne tennis ... so far no rain down here. Cheers for now - Hilary

Cold and windy, thanks for asking. 13/57. Wind chill factor lower.

It is very hot and oppressive here, too. Yesterday the temperature climbed to 35 degrees C, which is pushing a hundred on your scale. Our maple tree in the back yard provides lots of shade and moderates the temperature somewhat, aided in no small measure by sipping a gin and tonic beneath its greenery. It’s the right thing to do!

Frank knows how to chill.
Hitting almost a hundred all week. I have no plans for going outside!

We were having daily storms. Now we're under the heat dome. Even when the temperature is in the 90s, it feels like 100 or so.

Love,
Janie

It's in the 90's here and very humid. My veggies and flowers are thankfully holding up.

Ughh..I wrote here and
, accidentally, hit a button and pffft! I love your garden especially those bright blue flowers..what are they? Your statues are perfect in your garden an, to me, it reminds me of an English garden which I love. The weather is ridiculous! We have a high of 45C which is about 113F. You can’t breathe. It’s horrible.

Your garden is beautiful -- and Frank is overloaded with bliss. Now THAT is a contented cat!

Denise, Thank you:) Ouch on the rain being done. I hope you get some unexpected shower surprises:) When it cools down I'll go out and do my rain dance for ya:) Heh. xo

🎵 We're having a heatwave, a tropical heatwave 🎶Day two of temperatures 90+. Boston might break a record of 101! My area might make 95. It's 91 now. I'm loving it. Beats freezing your ( * ) off and having to go outside to shovel.

We are having a record heat wave

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, EC. We don't shudder here, just melt. Ha.

Hey Hils, Thanks:) Send that breeze this way, will ya? It's definitely wilting weather here.

It's either raining cats and dogs or highs near 100 F every day here. CJ might love it, but I will stay inside under the AC. Love the photos from your garden and the one from Sweden, too. Have a stress free week and do what Frank is doing (chilling).

Andrew, Actually that sounds pretty good about now;) 'Course come winter I'm sure I'll be singing a different tune;)

Bonitas flores. Te mando un beso.

LOL. Seems like a good way to fight the heat, David:)

I'm right there with ya, Alex.

Hi Janie, The weather's not very comfortable right now, that's for sure.

Sandra Cox said...

Hi Natalie, Glad your veggies and flowers are holding up. I'm worried about mine. They perked up after I watered them yesterday.

Sandra Cox said...

Birgit, Don't ya hate it when that happens?
I'm glad you are enjoying the garden:)
The weather is terrible. Stay cool. Stay hydrated.

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, Jeanie. Yes, Frank certainly knows how to chill:)

Sandra Cox said...

CJ, Oh please, let me send you some of our heat:)
