Example: He used accismus to drive the price down on a used car he was haggling over.  

 AND

Did you know, that a special fungi(mychorrhiza)  on tree roots allows them to communicate and share nutrients through the "wood wide web"?

Indifference, I suppose.
Yes, I think quite a lot of fungi do that. I wonder if that includes truffles, as I believe they grow under oak trees.

The other day, I was at the local used book seller, and he had a couple of really fine editions that I wanted, but not at his asking price. As a regular in his store he probably reads me like the books he is purveying, and despite my accismus he was not fooled and would not yield a penny on the price. He said, “Better take them now or they won’t be here when you next come in.” And of course, I did. As for the wood wide web, if I am not mistaken it was Suzanne Simard who coined the term in her fabulous, monumental, groundbreaking, superb book “Finding the Mother Tree.” If you have not read it you need to. Try Zoe Schlanger’s “The Light Eaters” too. If you need more references, let me know!
