Ketch-up Day

How was your holidays? I trust they were as special as you.

We got to see the kiddos at Christmas, which always makes for a fun time and my bro and SIL were in from FL. On the 23rd we decided to go to McAdenville. If you live in NC, you are no doubt familiar with it. If you don't probably not. It's known as Christmas Town, USA.  The whole town decorates for Christmas. Well, there may be some exceptions but for the most part, folks put up a display.  Let me just say we did not choose our date wisely.  It wasn't just the traffic going into McAdenville. The interstates were clogged. I've never seen so many semis in my life. Luckily, the trip home was much smoother, but back to Christmas Town. Most of us drove through, but there was still a lot of foot traffic. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Here's a few pics from the drive through.

The Christmas Rose is getting ready to bloom.

Unfortunately, the spring bulbs are also trying to.

That's all from here, Blogger Buds.  Tell me about your holidays. Did you do something fun and special? Any spring flowers trying to bloom?

Absolutely gorgeous. And Frank is adorable.

A lot of effort has gone into the Christmas lighting displays. Well done that town.
Better Frank is under the tree than in the tree like our Jass was several times. Less damage is done by letting her get out in her own time, rather than trying to pull her out.

Hi Sandra - very quiet time ... but at least peaceful. Saw some lights - but usually via the screen or papers!! So glad the family were able to meet up and enjoy time together - I had one day of the same. Now back to holes in the road??!! Cheers - all well otherwise ... HNY 2026 ... Hilary

I’d love to visit that town….only when you know who is gone and no more talk about 51st State… love your pics and those penguins. I had a very nice Christmas but I did get pneumonia before Christmas and am still fuzzy headed, weak and slight headache. Staying home today, resting and, hopefully , kicke this sucker out!

Thanks, Christine. I've got to admit, the traffic was more than I'd anticipated.

We'll have to visit that town one day. I'd say the Great Christmas Light Fight show needs to pay them a visit, too.
