Did any of you see War Horse? It was a good movie, but it seriously depressed me. Enough that I almost didn't open a forwarded email from a friend that had War Horse in the title. I'm so glad I did. I loved the video she forwarded to me and if you love horses I believe you will too. It's at: Night Writers.

I want to see War Horse, but so many people have told me to bring a box of tissues. As a result, I've been holding back from seeing it yet.

I haven't seen War Horse yet, for the same reason as Jennifer - but I've heard from other horse loving friends that it's not actually that bad, so I don't know.
I do know that many, many fine horses were killed during the war and this makes me very sad. I know many fine young men were killed too, and that was tragic and I'm not trying to diminish their sacrifice - but many of them had volunteered,(not all of them, I know) but the poor horses had no choice.
War is a terrible waste of lives and I feel every life, whether animal or human is precious.

I refuse to see any movies about animals. Too upsetting. Maybe I'll watch the video.
