Wow, it's Monday and I'm not at work. Weird. I have one more week off and since its back to editing, its a good thing. How was your holidays? My computer decided to die over Christmas, so after a brief moment of silence I went out and bought a new one. grin. I'm hoping this one is a healthier specimen. I bought a support package which I've never done before. Since my techno skills are limited I trust it will be worth it. I couldn't get Word downloaded, it didn't recognize my activation key so I called Microsoft. It's usually luck of the draw when I call in for any type of support from any company. This time, my tech was wonderful. He was really helpful and I have Word again. Good thing since I'm editing, huh?
Oops got sidetracked. Back to Christmas. It was fun having time with the babies. I swear the little girl tried to give me a kiss. That's my story and I'm sticking to it:) My daughter and her fiancee fixed lunch: twice baked potatoes, stuffing, fresh green bean casserole, stuffed squash (see below), roasted carrots, mushroom gravy, butterscotch and bourbon pie, and for the carnivores we picked up a couple of braised chickens. It was a vegetarian's delight:) Santa remembered we'd moved to a different local and found the house without difficulty. Whew. What about you? Did Santa stop? Did you have a wonderful day with family and friends? I sincerely hope so and would love to hear about it.

I did have a great time with family and for the most part unplugged, which was nice.
Sorry about your computer. Glad you got a new one and everything installed properly with a little help. I buy a new computer every three years and trust me, setting one up never goes according to plan. There's always an issue somewhere!
A new computer is great as it always goes super fast compared to the old one, sucks when they break though. Good christmas was had at our pad
What new computer did you get?
I hope this computer is good to you, Sandra=)
My last one died on me three years ago and I bought a Toshiba which has been fantastic... fingers crossed it stays this way!
Sounds like you enjoyed your Christmas and I'm happy to hear so!
I cooked on Christmas Eve and I am making this our new tradition. Some of my dishes included lobster mac and cheese, jumbo lump crab cakes, cornbread stuffing with sweet sausage, baked sweet potato skins, walnut glazed string beans, jumbo shrimp with wasabi and soy... and then I did several deserts. Everything was great!=)
I'm glad you had a good Christmas, Alex. Is there a specific brand of computer you stick with?
Hi Pat,
Yeah, I'm enjoying it so far.
Glad you had a good Christmas:)
Sorry about the pc, glad you got a new one. When mine died, I went the other way and went android and loving it. Microsoft can suck it.
Another week off? That's wonderful. Enjoy, enjoy and Happy 2015.
Sucks about the computer but glad you have a new one with a great Tech to help you. Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas. So did I. My mom was in good spirits and Christmas Eve we had turkey, stuffing & the usual. My brother & his daughter and my hubby loved my cookies, we opened our gifts and I was so happy that they enjoyed what they got. My hubby guessed all but one of them! I received beautiful gifts and am so blessed. Have a Happy New year!
Hi CJ, I got a Toshiba. Had one for years, then went to the dark side. Now I'm back in the light. grin.
Hey, Gina. I got a Toshiba. Yay! Let me know when you duplicate that scrumptious meal and I'll be right over:)
Thanks, Ivy. So far, I'm very happy with it. I'm just not techy enough yet for an android.
So glad you had a blessed and wonderful Christmas.
Let's hear it for the New Year.
I never had a tablet before but this one lets me do all kinds of fun cartoon work. Glad you're enjoying your new toy as well. Do you name your computers? I do.
