Anybody else ever felt like this?

My news: I'm retiring from my day job in March. I've got a book due in May that I haven't started so the retirement is timely. I will miss my associates and friends, I've been at my current position nearly fourteen years. What I won't miss...the alarm clock going off at six a.m. Maybe, after I've retired, I should set it anyway just to get up and get going. Not. Any news on your end?
Hi Sandra! Happy Holidays :)
ReplyDeleteWell, my life is tossed up in the air at the moment and I have no idea what my next move is going to be. It's been a very busy, emotionally exhausting year for me... and frankly I don't have the energy to forge ahead into some new unknown abyss. I just wish I could get settled in life already. *sigh* Sorry for sounding so glum!
Hi Azra, I hope things get squared away for you soon and that 2015 is a good one for you.
DeleteAwesome you are retiring. I like my co-workers also but won't miss getting up at five in the morning. Ten more years to go...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alex. I guess I shouldn't grumble about 6 if you are getting up at 5:)
DeleteHate the 9-5 at my sea. But a ways to go lol no alarm clock will sure be great
ReplyDeleteHey Pat, I hear ya. I'm looking forward to it.
DeleteAnd what's the job, Sandra? Never asked you....
ReplyDeleteHi Dez, I'm an Admin Assist at a local community college.
DeleteWe'll have to have a blog retirement party! Congrats on the book
ReplyDeleteA blog retirement party. I love it.
DeleteI'm glad I've got a contract for it, but I'll be glad when I get the series complete.
Congratulations on your coming retirement. I'm sure you will love the additional time to write.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth. I feel like I'll have a shot at doing some of the things I don't make time for now to make time for my writing:) grin.
DeleteCongrats on the retirement. I have a feeling you will be just as busy but doing something you enjoy more. I will be working for quite a while yet (23.5 yrs so far in one job)
ReplyDeleteWow., Birgit, that's amazing. I hope wherever you're at they've got a great retirement system.
DeleteHi Sandra.....
ReplyDeleteI see you are commenting after each comment!
Much better,eh?
You are obviously quite happy about the retirement....
More time for your first passion!
Excellent!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Hey Linda, Yes that was a good idea:) Though I still can't get back to my blog on the overhead bar. Blogster is trifling with me.
DeleteNormally it goes right back to the comment section.....
DeleteOdd.....for sure!
It sure is. Blogster has a mad on at me for some reason.
DeleteWonderful news and wow, sounds super exciting. Working from home is THE BEST.
ReplyDeleteCheers and boogie boogie.
I'm looking forward to it. Thanks, Happy.
DeleteGlad to hear it because it's super duper exciting stuff.
DeleteI hate early mornings. Sometimes I get up as early as four. While it's nice to get home earlier, it sucks to be up that early.
ReplyDeleteHi Adam, I can remember when I worked early shift. It was nice to get home early, but I was too tired to do anything.
DeleteWhat exciting news! I think it is awesome that you will have more time for writing. I am not a fan of getting up early- so I say no alarm (well- maybe set it for a later time, so you don't get lost in your dreams and sleep the day away). :)
ReplyDelete~Jess
Good plan, Jess. Although, when the alarm clock doesn't go off the critters do, so the chances of sleeping in too late or pretty slim:)
DeleteCongrats on your coming retirement! My news is that I'm off on holiday in 3 sleeps :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shelley. Enjoy your holiday:)
