Where Am I?

Anybody else ever felt like this?
*
My news: I'm retiring from my day job in March. I've got a book due in May that I haven't started so the retirement is timely. I will miss my associates and friends, I've been at my current position nearly fourteen years. What I won't miss...the alarm clock going off at six a.m. Maybe, after I've retired, I should set it anyway just to get up and get going. Not. Any news on your end?

Hi Sandra! Happy Holidays :)
Well, my life is tossed up in the air at the moment and I have no idea what my next move is going to be. It's been a very busy, emotionally exhausting year for me... and frankly I don't have the energy to forge ahead into some new unknown abyss. I just wish I could get settled in life already. *sigh* Sorry for sounding so glum!

Awesome you are retiring. I like my co-workers also but won't miss getting up at five in the morning. Ten more years to go...

Congrats on the retirement. I have a feeling you will be just as busy but doing something you enjoy more. I will be working for quite a while yet (23.5 yrs so far in one job)

Hi Azra, I hope things get squared away for you soon and that 2015 is a good one for you.

Thanks, Alex. I guess I shouldn't grumble about 6 if you are getting up at 5:)

A blog retirement party. I love it.
I'm glad I've got a contract for it, but I'll be glad when I get the series complete.

Thanks, Elizabeth. I feel like I'll have a shot at doing some of the things I don't make time for now to make time for my writing:) grin.

I hate early mornings. Sometimes I get up as early as four. While it's nice to get home earlier, it sucks to be up that early.

What exciting news! I think it is awesome that you will have more time for writing. I am not a fan of getting up early- so I say no alarm (well- maybe set it for a later time, so you don't get lost in your dreams and sleep the day away). :)

Hey Linda, Yes that was a good idea:) Though I still can't get back to my blog on the overhead bar. Blogster is trifling with me.

I'm looking forward to it. Thanks, Happy.

Odd.....for sure!

Hi Adam, I can remember when I worked early shift. It was nice to get home early, but I was too tired to do anything.

Sandra Cox said...

It sure is. Blogster has a mad on at me for some reason.

Good plan, Jess. Although, when the alarm clock doesn't go off the critters do, so the chances of sleeping in too late or pretty slim:)

Glad to hear it because it's super duper exciting stuff.
