Last day of September and so very soggy. We were supposed to go to Busch Gardens today. Had to pull the plug on that idea last night. We'll aim for sometime in October so I can get one last coaster fix this year.
I agree...Friday counts. Even if you work in an office, it's a looser atmosphere on Fridays usually...and you have the whole weekend to look forward to!
Dang. I'm sorry your trip got nixed. Roller coasters....shudder. I have no sense of adventure when it comes to thrill rides. Everyone else in the fam loves them:) It was soggy here too. Enjoy your weekend.
3M developed the tiny sticker we use for tagging. You catch it, identify sex, area found and time. the sticker is placed on the outside lower wing where there is a section that looks like a mitten.It has a # and contact info on it.They fly from here in IOWA to Mexico. All from around N America go to the same area.This is a study with the U of KS that I have enjoyed for over twenty years.you purchase your tags from them.I will post more, and include a photo of the tags soon. I think i already posted one with a tag a few posts back. I tagged all September just about.Still lots around but they will finish soon.
Kudos, Steve. This is such a worthwhile project. It would scare me to death to participate. I'd be afraid I'd kill them when I tried to catch them. It's got to require a very delicate touch.
