Highly recommended.

I'm visiting with the lovely and highly-talented Mae Clair today.

He came through time to find her.As Sarah Miles drives down Eighteenth Street a stranger materializes in front of her car. She throws on her brakes, braces for impact and...drives straight through him. For a brief moment, his voice echoes in her head, "Saura." Then he's gone. Later that day, she discovers the SUNDIAL and her incredible journey through time begins.
On sale @ Amazon for .99 Sept 19-25.
My friend Sally and I saw it last week. My Ph.D. is in Human Factors, and I about fell onto the floor (we saw it in IMAX) when I heard "Sully" say the human factor. I was so, so impressed. Yes, I also would highly recommend it, too, but I'm a bit prejudiced, as you can tell!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize you had your PhD. Many kudos, Elizabeth. That's a huge deal.
DeleteIt was an amazing moving wasn't it?
More temptation? And as usual it isn't available at Amazon.com.au - or not on sale.
ReplyDeleteSigh. Hopefully one of these days, au will be part of the countdowns when they are run.
DeleteI really really REALLY want to watch Sully.
ReplyDeleteHi, Misha. Hope you enjoy it. I loved it.
DeleteOh, a must see, if Tom Hanks is one of the pilots. I remember the incident reported even in our news, back in 2009.
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing it to our attention!
Now flying over to Mae's blog.
Hi Carmen!
DeleteLet me know if you see Scully and like it.
Thanks so much for the follow and the promo. See you at Mae's.
Hugs,
EC, isn't it a movie release here? Sandra, your first paragraph interested me in the movie. Your last paragraph indicates that is about para normal, spirits etc, so I am not sure. I never watch trailers, so I will see what else is written about the movie.
ReplyDeleteHi Andrew,
DeleteThe paranormal reference is for Sundial.
Let me know if you see Sully. I thought it was exceptional!
I'm afraid we didn't get out to see that one. Might still. Heard the other based on reality film, Deepwater Horizon, is also really good.
ReplyDeleteDeepwater is another one I couldn't decide whether it would be good or not. So thanks for the input.
DeleteOn my to see list
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it, CJ. I liked it even better than Star Trek!
DeleteBoth the film and that book sound great. Have a good, new week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you:)
DeleteYou have a great new week too, Val!
I still want to see Sully.
ReplyDeleteHanks shines in all his movies
ReplyDeleteIsn't he just the best?
DeleteLoved that movie, Sandra. Tom Hanks is definitely one of my faves. (Light Between Oceans was a good one, too). Hip hip hooray for "Sully." Susan
ReplyDeleteWe were probably watching it together, Susan, in different theaters:)
DeleteThat's good to hear about Sully. I did wonder the same thing when I saw the trailer. Even when it happened, the media talked about it for MONTHS. It was definitely a feel-good story but I got so sick of hearing his name every five minutes! I do like Laura Linney, though (I know, odd, random choice!), so I'll definitely see it.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the pilot got pretty sick of it too, Steph:)
DeleteHeard it was really good, will have to see indeed
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it, Pat. Let us know.
DeleteNice to know as I too thought it didn't look like a good movie.
ReplyDeleteIt took me by surprise, Donna. Though, the ones you don't expect much out of usually turn out to be the best.
DeleteYours is the second good "ïn person" review I've heard. Moving it closer to the top of the list! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt's the best movie I've seen in a long time.
DeleteHope you enjoy it, Jeanie:)
Great minds think alike! My hubby and I saw it on Friday (our 10th anniversary). It was well acted and I really liked Aaron Eckhart playing the co-pilot. The frustration of the hearings really shows what these co-pilots went through after the crash and I think it was done brilliantly. It is not an action movie but more of introspection and quite intelligent. Clint Eastwood is an excellent director.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThank you....we couldn't remember the name of the actor who played the co-pilot.
Diane, Hope you get to. It's a great movie!
ReplyDeletewe really want to see Sully! Thanks for your opinion!
ReplyDeleteI trust you'll enjoy it to the max, Christine.
DeleteI only see films on TV so won't have seen this one. Pleased you thought it great.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Enjoy it when it gets to TV:)
DeleteI have to be honest, I wasn't going to see it, but I trust you Sandra! Thanks for review!!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
