The Irises are blooming. In fact, they've almost bloomed out.
It's tradition: When I see the first Iris of the year unfurl I put out this dishcloth that my sister got me when we visited the botanical gardens many years ago.
The garden:
Irises blooming and regal,
With promises made by the sun.

What beautiful irises, love the colours. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie
Beautiful, beautiful things. I am always blown away by the colours.
A real pleasure to the eye Sandra. Thanks for sharing.
Yvonne.
Beautiful...when I was a kid we used to grow irises in our garden...they're lovely. :)
What a lovely garden. I love irises! They are one of my favorite spring flowers. Irises and daffodils. Have a great day.
Your irises are far more beautiful than mine. I only have the purple ones. Yours are so much more colorful. Beautiful garden shots and that dishcloth is out of this world.
Sure a colorful display as they add to it at your bay.
Such a bright way to kick off Monday morning! Hugs...RO
Wow, you have a lot of them.
These are very pretty.
Thanks and you, Val.
Hugs received and returned.
pretty flowers
There are so many amazing colors in the Iris family, aren't there?
Glad you liked them, Yvonne;)
I do love Irises.(Probably because my daughter painted them in high school:) There's such a wonderful variety of color isn't there, Lee.
Mine too, Elizabeth:)
Have a great one.
I love iris's actually and your garden looks so pretty especially with that fairy angel! I had iris's but they didn't do well because I am the kiss of death when it comes to plants. My hubby, who has a green thumb, ripped them out because he is not a fan..just like my mom! I think I married my mom:)
Thanks, Elizabeth. I'm sure yours are gorgeous. I want to get another color.
Thanks, Pat:)
Thanks, Ro.
Hugs received and returned.
I'm wondering if it's all the liquid we got this winter. My plants have either doubled or died:)
Thanks, Jamie. Southern Illinois Irises:)
Thanks, Adam:)
Married your mom. Ha!
How can they not like Irises. Shaking head;)
Beautiful irises!
I have nothing but leaves still ~~~~~~~~~ thanx for sharing Sandra !!!!! ☺☺♥♥
They're such elegant flowers and they last a long time in the garden. I took all of mine out last year because of some blight. I really miss them, and you've inspired me to put some fresh ones in! Thanks.
One variety of purple iris smells like grape soda so I smell them all
Thanks, Christine:)
Hopefully, they'll be blooming soon, FSG.
We can't wait to see which ones you choose, Lee.
I did not know that! I too will be smelling them now:)
Gorgeous Sandra!! No flowers here yet, but the grass is green! LOL! I love the dishcloth! Big Hugs!
I just love Iris's, thanks for sharing your photo's.
All the best Jan
I am dazzled. I hope mine comes out. (I only have one!) Yours are just fabulous!
