The HH and I went to see the Grands this weekend. The little five-year-old girl had broken her arm awhile back. (All better now.) The HH asked her if she cried. She gave him a you-can't-be-serious look and said, "Of course, I cried."
I like possums. They are sweet little creatures. Though, I think I'll keep my cats:) Heh. Expect the unexpected indeed:) The little girl is great at one liners:)
Your poor granddaughter but it seems she took it like a good little trooper who is fine with crying. Love this video with the possum. They are cute despite the rat tail and she understands how to treat them since they still are a wild animal.
Possums get a bad wrap since they have 'grandmother's big teeth':) rat tail and aren't particularly cute. The Grand is indeed a trooper. YOU have a great one.
They can be sociable little creatures. And an interesting factoid, because of their low body temperature, they seldom contact rabies. Though, folks that keep them often get them vaccinated just to be on the safe side.
I love the video!!! They only live 3-5 years? That is short!! Bless her heart for loving the possums! Of course I cried! How precious!!! Big Hugs Sandra!
Not sure I could be soulmates with a possum, but she sure looks happy.
ReplyDeleteI have learned to expect the unexpected. Out of the mouths of babes!! What a great response.

LOL, five-year-olds can be so blunt, sometimes. Gotta love that sass! XD
ReplyDeleteHeh. Indeed.
DeleteA possum? Never seen anything like this before! Glad the little one is better again, and still wise and witty! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI've been around wildlife rescue folks that have had them.
DeleteHa. Yes, she is wise and witty:)
Hugs received and returned.
I hope that no-one ever makes her feel that crying is wrong. Some things demand a tear. Or six.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteI think I'd skip the possum soul mate.
ReplyDeleteOuch to the arm. Crying is sure needed for that.
No possum soulmate for you? Heh. Orlin probably wouldn't approve anyway:)
DeleteCrying definitely is needed at times.
Odd looking cat =^,.^= I love the 5 yr old attitude.
ReplyDeleteHeh. He is indeed:)
DeleteShe comes up with some keepers for sure:)
Glad your granddaughter is all better.
ReplyDeleteNever would've thought a opossum would make a good pet.
I think they're very misunderstood little creatures.

DeleteI'd cry too! She sounds adorable! What a fun time.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanie:) She is.
DeleteGod to hear rye granddaughter is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Cast is in the rearview window.
DeleteWho wouldn't cry?
ReplyDeleteI guess if the possum was rabies free and tame enough not to bite, it would work as a pet. The white one is certainly cute.

DeleteThat's an awesome video!
ReplyDeletePretty cute, isn't it, Lon? Thanks for stopping by.
Deletewe hope she keeps up the awesome "tood"... glad to hear she's doing better :) ♥♥
ReplyDeleteThanks, FSG.
DeleteProbably the world's only nice possum
ReplyDeleteGlad that your grand-daughter is all healed and feeling ok.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I'd cry, too. I also might start to cry in about five minutes. The fireworks just started again. It's July 10th. We are well past the 4th.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
