Happy Independence Day to you, dear Sandra. Having been to Philadelphia in the past, I knew it was the capital. I DID NOT know about the yellow fever. Great trivia question.
My goodness, I did not know about the yellow fever! This would be a great Jeopardy question. Hope you and your family are enjoying the Independence Day and staying cool. I've been fighting a cold, and plan to relax a little today. No cooking out for me, but i sure hope someone drops off a cheeseburger.(lol) Hugs, RO
Oh my...nope, here in the South, they don't teach such stuff about Northerners...yankees...Hahaha But no, didn't know. Sounds like the Spanish Flu of 1918...terrible. Happy Independence Day sweet lady! hughugs
I knew that Yellow Fever was very bad then, but I was unaware of how many it killed so I looked it up. The 1793 Yellow Fever epidemic in Philadelphia killed approximately 5,000 people in four months.
Happy Independence day! Hugs, Valerie
