Did you know that in the first presidential election the president and vice-president were chosen by electors named by state legislatures. The electors had one ballot and could name two men. The man with the most votes would be elected president and the man with the second most votes VP. Behind the scenes, Hamilton lobbied to keep the votes down for Adams so that Washington wouldn't be embarrassed by the number of votes Adams received.

Our political system is complex enough but yours is unfathomable and seems it always has been.

It's amazing how little things have changed between the first election and today. Of course, today you can add foreign interests and smear tactics to the behind the scenes antics.
Not to mention the mail being sabotaged. Scary, isn't it? VERY scary.
