Can you believe it's September? You know what that means...Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. We've been spending Thanksgiving with our daughter and SIL for several years now and I really hope we get to this year. Unfortunately, COVID will have a say in that. As of now we are playing the waiting game. And while we are waiting, and since it is September, here's some pictures of fall in the mountains.
And a few more pictures from Longwood Gardens, PA
As a gardener, I must admit to being a bit envious of that pink rose:)
I hope your week is off to a good start and turns out to be your best so far.

Happy September, dear Sandra. You have found some beautiful photos for the season, dear. I like the statues/sculptures especially and of course, all the pumpkins and such.
Before Thanksgiving is the most important day of our lives: VOTING DAY.
Wonderful photos, have a great month, hugs, Valerie
Lovely photos. Thank you.
Lovely pictures Sandra...... we all live in in hope.
Happy September.
Yvonne.
Great roses for this time of the year. I don't envy you heading towards winter. We have began Spring today and are full of hope.
I'm feeling cooler already.
Hopefully you spend the holidays with family.
I love September! Your photos have put me in a really happy mood!
Fingers crossed your Thanksgiving plans will come to fruition.
Time for thoughts to turn to fall, I am still enjoying summer, sigh.
Amen, sista.
Rabbit, Rabbit. White rabbit. You're rushing the season as there are still 20 days left of Summer. And you left out the best holiday of the year: Halloween! I think many families will be Skyping or Zooming Thanksgiving this year. The past two years, we've spent Christmas with the Eldest. She's also thinking of moving closer to the hospital where she works, right now and hour commute. The hospital area is in a huge snow belt so depending on the move, the virus, travel restrictions, and the weather will determine if we get to travel.
Thanks, Val. Hope you do.
My pleasure entirely, EC:)
The roses look pretty.
Thanks, Yvonne.
We do indeed live in hope:)
Hi Sandra - well I hope the next six months goes as quickly as this last lot - and I sincerely hope we'll be out the woods (pandemic) by then or well on the say. Love the arrangements and the lambs ears ... and all the colours - take care - Hilary
Happy September! I love sering the first pumpkins:) It will be hot here another couple of months, usually, but I look forward to rain and the holidays! Beautiful flowers too! Xo
how awesome !!! what are the white leaves ?? they almost look like lambs tongue from a distance tho I know they aren't ♥♥♥☺☺☺
The beginnings of spring....best time of the year and definitely the most hopeful.
Sounds like we've got hot weather coming next week. Sigh.
Glad to hear that:)
Thank you. I hope they do too:)
I'm good with summer but I won't object to the temp dropping a few degrees:)
Just sayin....
They were just stunning when we saw them.
It will be a wonderful thing when it's in the rearview mirror. Unfortunately it's not going to be happening here anytime soon. Maybe January....
And Happy September to you, my friend.
It's comfortable this week but supposed to be back in the 90s next week.
Close enough. Lambs ear.
Oh my! You're way more into fall there than we are here. We're just trying to hold onto summer. I know what you mean about the holidays. That's worrying me, too.
I am loving your pictures and can’t believe it is already September. You take some great photos
We're still doing summer here too. I ran these from last year because it was the first of September and that always shouts out fall for me.
Lovely photographs, thank you.
Happy September Wishes.
All the best Jan
