The first Wednesday of every month is officially IWSG day. Members post about their doubts and fears, discuss struggles and triumphs, and offer words of encouragement to others who are struggling.
Thanks, as always, to Alex Cavanaugh, founder and Ninja Captain extraordinaire and our awesome co-hosts.
The IWSG monthly question can be found under the IWSG Sign-up tab on the Insecure Writer's Support Group Blog. Remember it’s optional.
December 2 question – Are there months or time of the year that you are more productive with your writing than other months, and why? Not really. What about you?

QUEST AND ADVENTURES by Judy and Keith
This is a lovely book for young people. There are a wide variety of tales including a journey undertaken by a colony of ants, talking earthworms, and my particular favorite, a young girl trying to break into the all male world of wizards. The stories are a nice length that can be read to a little one or read by young readers. And the authors weave educational facts in with the magic.
A very enjoyable read.

EMOTIONAL TRUTHS of RELATIONSHIPS by Balroop Singh
As humans
our emotions are all over the boards. We love. We hate. We're happy.
We're sad.
We're angry. We're ecstatic. Some of these responses make us feel good, others
bad. This book breaks down our emotions
and shows different ways to turn the negative into a positive.

THE AWAY PLACE by Susanne Marie Knight
Who would expect to encounter magic, especially in the form of the east and north winds? But that's what happens when Marta Jordan decides to end it all after a series of tragic events leaves her bereft of hope. Not only do the delightful winds--Sola and Quill--intervene, they introduce sexy Joe Noble into her life, who's dealing with his own set of issues. After that the magic begins.
This
charming tale deftly combines love and magic in a modern-day fairy tale.

COUNTERPART by Haley Stone Last Resistance Book 2
If you like tense dystopian YA/NA is
this series is a fascinating one. The heroine is a clone of a resistance leader
now dead. Rhona Long has the memories, loves and fear of the original Rhona
Long. She must lead the resistance against the machines and deal with her
feelings for the man that the original Rhona loved.

Thanks for the book suggestions! Have a great day, Valerie
Thank you for fueling my bookie lust. Again.
That last is so very true, and not as simple as it sounds.
Seems like good books about on here Sandra. Loved the quote at the end.
Yvonne.
I write less these days but, I hope actual writers don't have any blocks.
I write whenever. Mostly whenever I'm not doing DLP stuff, which is few and far between.
Thanks for the book reviews. I always like to see what other writers are reading.
Hi,
I love the quote, You must write your first draft with your heart and rewrite with your head, That is so true, and I would add, And be prepared to rewrite it over and over until it receives life.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a safe passage into 2021.

You are so good at supporting other writers. LOVE that quote at the end, too. That's how I write and edit a lot of my blog posts, too.
Hi Sandra - I'm sure writing is like that ... write with your heart, then evaluate with your head. Take care and stay safe - Hilary
I like that saying.
Thanks for the book suggestions.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance.
You did more reading than I did last month. Thanks for the recommendations!
Great reviews, Sandra. You've read some good books:) I didn't have Balroop's book on my TBR list, so I added it. Xo
And you, my friend.
As if your book lust needs fueling. Heh.
Innit the truth.
Nice reviews! Thank you so much Sandra for reviewing Emotional Truths. Often they are brushed aside in the race to success. :) Have a wonderful and safe holiday season.
I'm so behind in reading! And writing! But thanks for a good list!
This is why I love you Sandra. That answer--"Not really". Pithy, concise, respect for your readers time. Yes! I agree!
Thanks for the reviews, Sandra. And I loved that Mike Rich quote. So perfect.
Oh good:)
xo
Lots of talented buds out there, isn't there? Yourself included.
You just keep your feet up and concentrate on feeling better.
No blocks would be a lovely thing, wouldn't it?
Thanks, Elizabeth:) Like the craft community, we all support each other.
That is a good quote isn't it? And your posts reflect head and heart:)
Challenging for sure:)
Take special care, Hil.
I'm sure it is few and far between. You are one busy lady.
You might like The Last Resistance series, Natalie.
Oh I hear ya on that. My over and over again comes in when I'm tightening up.
And safe and happy holidays to you, Pat.
Wise words.
You said yours a lot less wordy than me lol not really indeed.
So true about writing with your heart and rewriting with your head.
Love,
Janie
The last photo with the writing suggestion works for me, who writes late at night when I am at my most creative and then fix it all up in the morning. Well, I do that sometimes.
Pithy...I like it! :)
My pleasure, Lee:)
Good on you for writing regularly, J.P.
Heh.
Yes:)
Sometimes. Heh. I like it:)
I like your succinct response and I think it just depends on how you feel. Congrats to all the authors coming out with books and love that quote.
Thanks for the book suggestions Sandra and I love that saying! Big Hugs!
