Did you know that on July 4 ( a day so important to these two men), 1826 both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died. The people surrounding Adams' bedside said as he lay dying thunder boomed and sullen clouds hung low. The moment his spirit passed the sun came out and shone in all its glory.

I didn't know that. I can remember being very comforted by a rainbow shining on the funeral cortege of the brother of a friend. We took it as a welcome sign.
The 4th July is a pecial day for myself and late husband......We became grandparents for the fist time.It was the only grandchild he lived to see.
Have a good day Sandra and take care.
Yvonne.
As usual, facts I did not know but I look forward each week to the weird and wonderful facts you inform us about.
I really had no idea but it's interesting to read, for sure. 😉
Hi Sandra ... I knew the story ... interesting isn't it ... Stay safe -Hilary
Wow. I guess the Heavens received him and rejoiced.
And all the lights came on..
What an interesting coincidence!
It is a special day for you indeed.
That is a beautiful memory, EC.
Oh that's nice to hear. Thank you, Andrew.
Glad you found it interesting, HG.
I had no idea but pretty cool. Reminds me that when my dad died, April 30th(1988), it was raining but when he died right at noon, the sun came out. I will never forget that.
So fitting, Sandra:)
Cool story! Hugs, Valerie
I found it fascinating.
You stay safe too, Hils.
Sure sounds like it, doesn't it, Alex?

I thought it was interesting too, especially being that they were friends.
We are fine here. Went to a clinic today, but the vaccines were all gone.
Hugs received and returned.
That sure is quite the coincidence...or not
I knew that Adams and Jefferson died on the same die, but did not know the rest about Adams' death.
Love,
Janie
