 Example: Lone and loan are the homophones that snag me.  I once wrote 'the loan rider'. 😐

John Adams, the second President of the United States and Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States died on the fiftieth anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States died July 4th, 1831.

*Since he was a Virginian landowner and had slaves of his own, this surprised me.

 Did you know that on July 4 ( a day so important to these two men), 1826 both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died. The people surrounding Adams' bedside said as he lay dying thunder boomed and sullen clouds hung low. The moment his spirit passed the sun came out and shone in all its glory.
