Yes, I knew that and, in fact, his dad, Kirk Douglad, bought the rights to the book hoping to make into a film starring himself in the role Jack did. It took too long though and he let his song produce it which was during Michael's stint on the "Streets of San Francisco".
I watched that, and blubbered like a baby at the end. Had no clue it was produced by Douglas, and find that pretty amazing. Hugs and more hugs, Super Sandra! RO

I didn't. As usual I liked the book more than the movie though.
No, I never knew that. Haven't seen the movie, but have read the book.
Nope, but that's an interesting face, Sandra. 👍🏻🙂
That actually surprised me. It's a great trivia question, though.
I did not know that! And it one of my favorite movies, though the book is better :)
Hi Sandra - nope I didn't know it ... and I've never seen it - too frightened 'as a kid' ... now still probably! Cheers - Hilary
I did not know that. Actor, producer...I wonder what other talents he has.
I didn't know this. Loved the book and the film! Hugs, Valerie
I didn't know that. I didn't like the book or the movie.
Produced it? Nope, didn't know that.
That's news to me :)
I didn't know that! I liked the movie and the book, not a fan of the ending.
Surprised me too. All this time I thought Michael Douglas was just a pretty face:)

I knew you'd know that:)
I loved Streets of San Francisco. Remember Karl Malden?
I never read the book, but I liked the movie. The ending was certainly bittersweet. Actually more bitter than sweet.
I never read the book. I bet it packed an emotional wallop.
I've seen the movie but haven't read the book:)
Thanks, HG. Glad you think so:)
The movie was good, so the book must have been excellent.
It was an unusual film. Not my normal genre, but extremely well done.
I had no idea he was a producer. That certainly surprised me.
I did not....
I vaguely remember seeing the movie years ago ~~~~ will have to you tube a segment ~~~ see if the 'ole recall' is still there !
I did not!
I didn’t know that but I also never saw the movie. I also know that Michael Keaton’s real name is Michael Douglas
I'm sure the ole recall is still there;)
Who'd a thought, huh?
I didn't know that. We're exchanging info today, Adam.
I thought the film was really well done. Haven't read the book. Shocking I know:)
Hugs received and returned.
No I didn't. That's cool! Big Hugs!
I didn't expect to when we went to see it. Surprisingly, I did.
No lo sabía es una gran película te mando un beso
I actually did know this one! Finally!
I love Karl and his nose. He did a ton of American Express commercials..."Don't leave home without it."
Who'd a thought, right?
It was for me too:)
I remember those. And yes, that nose is memorable;)
Glad you enjoyed it, Stacy:)
Big hugs received and returned.
I knew that!
All the best Jan
This one I actually knew Sandra.
Yvonne.
It was good, wasn't it, J.P.?
I'll send you a hug:)
Woo Hoo, Jeanie!
Good job, Jan!
Way to go, Yvonne! :)
