It's Tuesday, 2022

 Well, I'm playing catch up.

I trust all my blogger buds had great holidays. Christmas and New Years.

Except for one other this was the first Christmas without family in over forty years. We did though, zoom with the bro and sis-in-law that night and then again New Year's Eve. That was a definite plus or two pluses:) Christmas morning we were zipping along, opening our gifts and enjoying our quiet Christmas. Then I started going downhill and crashed. I did my zooming from bed, adding an occasional nod of the head;)  We had went to the vineyards for our anniversary lunch and I may have picked up something there.  I really was lucky. It could have been much, much worse.

Any hoo, here are some of my fun Christmas gifts:)

 My literary jammies:)

This is from my bro and sis-in-law. As you can see it's made from recycled paper and elephant dung, which is basically raw cellulose. As there aren't enough safe areas, elephants in Sri Lanka wander, interfere in agriculture and are consequently killed. The idea of this paper is to hopefully bridge the gulf between elephant and man and to show the elephant as an economic asset to the farmer instead of a source of lost income.

Another box of rocks. (Rainbow fluorite.)

This knife is to scrape the peanut butter out of an emptied jar.

And my creative gifts.

From good bud, poet and photographer D. L. Finn. I look forward to these calendars:)

And my daughter painted this picture of my Sweet Belle, which I treasurer.

What about you blogger, buds? What were your most fun and/or treasured gifts?

AND

Monday A.M.

 Monday P.M.

Hi Sandra - love the Jim Jams - they're great. Just glad you're getting over the 'bug' you caught - congratulations on the anniversary. Just a Happy New Year to one and all - cheers Hilary

That's interesting about recycling elephant waste.

Do you think your peanut butter scraping knife might work for jam (jelly or jello do you call it?) and Vegemite too?

Generally I have always been unimpressed by gifts, unless it is something I asked for. But I am sure there is at least one that was a wonderful surprise.

LOVE those jammies, and the peanut butter scraper. Glad you didn't catch anything too bad. I didn't get anything for Christmas, but got some birthday vouchers and spent the money on paints! Hugs, Valerie

Fun jammies. I gave the peanut butter knife to Himself a few years ago. Very handy. My best gift was having both girlies home with us for Christmas and New Year's. I hope you're feeling better.

The peanut butter knife is great -- I've never seen those before. I'm sorry you were sick and glad it wasn't worse. We did zoom Christmas too. Sooner or later a celebration. Those jams are the best!

Oh I LOVE your pajamas and would love to find a pair for me:) I love your gifts especially the homemade ones. The toilet paper looks a bit rough but I hope it helps the elephants. That painting your daughter created is amazing! She is very talented. I heard Betty White's last word was "Allen". which means she is now with her beloved husband and all her furbabes she lost before.

The recycling elephant waste is interesting indeed, Andrew. I hope it catches on. It would be a win-win.
I would think the knife would work just fine for jams and Vegemite. If you try it, let me know.

Thanks:) The HH ordered the jammies through Amazon.
Sorry the information on the elephant waste wasn't very clear. It's used for parchment paper, good for journals, etc. I think the baby girl is talented too:)Again, thanks.
I trust Betty is now with Allen and the furbabies. Such a beautiful soul.

Quite an adjustment to having no family for Christmas after 40 years of get togethers. ZOOM is amazing and sometimes I think we talk more on zoom! Thanks for sharing your lovely gifts. Santa came early to our house--we visited Annamarie Island, FL in early December. (Santa saved money by not going during the holiday time!) Gotta find me that peanut butter knife!
