Ketch-Up Day

Yup, we got smacked again.

AND from Greenville, NC

This is probably the largest snow fall we've had since we've lived here. What's your weather like?

Ketch-Up Day

Whew! We dodged a bullet. We got sleet, ice and snow, in our area, but it could have been soooo much worse.

Churches were closed Sunday. Thousands were out of power in the mountains. There were over  a thousand flight cancellations at the Charlotte airport. And as of Monday, statewide, there were over 700 road accidents.  Ice is still an issue at night when the temp drops, but overall--here--it 's much better than it could have been. AND we're a day closer to spring....

I brought in the daffies that were trying to bloom when we had our first cold snap a while back. Unfortunately, I don't hold much hope that they will bloom again this spring. Sigh.

This is what it looked like Sunday. More slushy rain and sleet than snow.

Yesterday, pretty and starting to melt.

And Maisy taking it all in.

What's it like in your neck of the woods, Blogger Buds? Did you get smacked or did Nature behave herself?

Ketch-Up Day

How are you?  Are you enjoying these hints of spring Mother Nature is sending our way?

For the cat folks out there. Have you ever seen one of these attachments to a scratching post? I ordered a new post since Callie is up to her old tricks of scratching on wood furniture and the door frames. Grrr. I saw the attachment and thought, 'What the...'? It's a self-brusher for cats to rub against and each post at the end of it has an opening to pour catnip in.  Even more amazing the cats use it and seem to like it:)

AND

Snow

AND

Sunshine

That's it for now. Enjoy the rest of your week, my friends. May it be filled with sunshine.

Ketch-up Tuesday

How are you?

This week is busy, busy, busy here.

Being from the Midwest, I'm always stunned to see daffies blooming in February. They are cropping up everyone and the robins are out in number. Spring has got to be right around the corner. Here's our first. Pretend you don't see the weeds that are cropping up as well.

And, of course, the Christmas/Lenten roses. (Helleborus)

AND

More snow in Colorado.

Thanks, Julie.

What's the weather like there?

Ketchup Day

Not too much going on here. I took Penny out the other night to do her business and there was a possum sitting on the fence.  Didn't see that one coming. What's going on there?

It's Tuesday. Ketchup-day.

Happy Halloween, Bloggers,

Are you stocked up with candy? Get many trick r treaters?  We don't get a lot here, but we've got candy on hand.

I got my leaves raked Saturday. This is what I had Monday, sigh:

Christmas in October

My walking buddy brought my Christmas gift early so I could get some use out of it.  Aren't those bowls purrfect? The HH was quite impressed that one bowl came with chocolate:)

It's Ketch-Up Day

How was your weekend and Monday? And how's your weather?

While forsythia is blooming in North Carolina, reminding us that Easter is on the way, California got smacked with snow.
