Ketch-Up Tuesday

 Greetings Blogger Buds,

How was your weekend and Monday? Hope both were good.

This is the last of the pictures from the Museum of Natural History.

And for those interested in the Hope Diamond....

We've had an extremely dry summer then a couple of weeks ago it started, raining...and raining...and raining. And after all that rain it's dry as a bone again. The rain seemed to bring out the butterflies.

I don't know what the orange one is. Do you?

Can you see the water level in the pot?

This was from a twenty-four hour period minus about half an inch from the day before.

This is the one I didn't recognize.

What about you blogger buds, got rain? Butterflies? Been to any museums lately?

AND

The indomitable teller of tales, memoir writer and honorary cousin, J. Q. Rose is helping me get the word out today on Geller's Find.  Thanks, Janet.

Hi Sandra - so pleased you had a happy time at the Museum - the Hope Diamond is beautiful ... I note it's origin is Indian. I'm guessing the butterfly is a Swallowtail ... but an open to contradiction.

As you can imagine yesterday was rather a momentous day here in the UK - extraordinary time ... cheers for now ... Hilary

The shark looks friendly, not.
The Hope Diamond for real! Wow.
We see so few butterflies now. Maybe that's because we almost live in the city.

Glad you had fun at the museum. Sadly, I'm not seeing many butterflies at all.

Think I'd be scared shitless with that shark coming at me.

We could certainly use rain. Our rain barrel is really low.

The Natural History Museum looks fun. I love Bruce (shark from Jaws) and he looks like he's yelling Feed Me! Isn't the Hope Diamond one of the jewels that's supposed to be cursed? I've only seen a few butterflies in my garden. The orange one looks like a Painted Lady.

Love the animals.
We got a little rain in my area the last two days. Not a lot, though--we could use more.

Love all the pics! I went to a train museum last year, but otherwise it's been a while. Pretty butterflies. We are enjoying some rain, almost two inches. Looks like the dry is coming back though. Xo

Hi Hils, Yesterday was momentous. I love that that they had her horse and corgis alongside the road as the procession passed by.
I'm so glad you enjoyed Geller, Val. Thanks for letting me know. Makes my day:)
Hey EC, The museum is wonderous and I too like the flutterbyes:)
Agreed on the shark, Andrew. Reminds me of Jaws. The Hope was something for sure. Bummer on few butterflies.
Natalie, I didn't seem them before a few weeks ago. It's like the rain grew them:)

Diane, I hear ya. We need it again too.
CJ, Thanks for identifying the butterfly. I think so on the Hope. I need to research that.
Jamie, Glad you got some rain.
Lon, That shark certainly does look fierce. Butterflies are wondrous.
Christine, Glad you think so.
Jeanie, It's the most amazing museum I've been in. I'm sure you'd enjoy it.
Yay for the rain, Denise. That's huge. I'll keep doing my rain dance. xoxo

Look at that huge elephant! The shark is just plain scary. I have not been to any museums but I miss them. I gave had that butterfly too and I think it's a swallowtail. We had a few monarchs but not as many as last year ir the prior years.
