Ketch-up Day

Are you having a great week?

We went to see the grands over the weekend and it was, of course, fun. There was one glitch. My son and the HH took the twins to a minor league baseball game. Everyone was having a great time. Then in the last inning, the last hitter hit a foul ball over the fence and over the roof to land on the windshield of our son's new car and crack it. OUCH.

The rest of the weekend went without incident.

We went pedal boating which was lots of fun. I hadn't been since the kids were little. Imagine my surprise when I found out they now have motors and you actually don't need to pedal.

Then we took the kids to the Painted Peacock to paint ceramics and that was fun too:)

Here's the new family member, Pearl:)

A big welcome to Pearl - who looks very happy in her new space.
Sigh about the windscreen. Hopefully it will be paid for.
LOVE your garden and the flutterbyes.
Glad you had precious time with the family.

Hi Sandra - oh dear 'OUCH' - an unfortunate 'hit'. Glad no-one was in the car!! Pearl does look content ... everything's got easier for us hasn't it - lazy lot we are now - evolved to walk ... but there we go - sitting while something mechanical does the work!! Sounds like a happy weekend - love the flowers ... cheers Hilary

Pearl looks handsome. Our car colour is pearl white and we call the car Pearl.
Pedal boats without the need for pedalling sounds good to me.
While inconvenient for your son, I am sure baseball insurance company will pay.
I love seeing your butterflies.

Welcome, Pearl.
That sucks about the windshield! That's why I always park far from the stadium.
What's the point of calling them pedal boats if you don't actually pedal?

Glad you had a fun weekend except for the windshield.

Hello, Pretty Pearl. Welcome home. I know you'll be loved and well cared for. I had no idea pedal boats no longer require pedaling. The pedaling was fun. A sister and I got to use one once when I was a kid. It was a blast. Yesterday wasn't a good start to the week so I'm restarting today and hoping it's better.

Love,
Janie

Sorry about the windshiled

Of all the windshields in all the town that ball would hit your son's car.
It sounds like you had a great weekend and love your new pussycat! I love the dog's reaction to the kitty sleeping near him. Is he full of beans like our Kaspar, the disaster? They are so loving and I wish I could curl up like that to sleep.
Love those butterflies and I believe the first one is a swallowtail(?) But what is the other one? It's so pretty. Glad it was nice for you.
We had a long weekend due to Civic Holiday but I was in pain. I did manage to make a meal and dust. Yesterday I felt much better and am continuing to clean up my craft room. Today, back at work and back to bad pain. I can kvetch can't I?...lol.

I love the boat (no pedaling) with the grands. It looks small in the middle of the vastness of water.

EC, She is the sweetest kitty:) Hopefully, his insurance will take care of the windshield, just hoping it doesn't come out of the deductible.
Thanks, Hils. Yes and yes. And it was a great weekend. Cheers,
Thanks, Andrew. A car named Pearl. I love it. You'd think it would be covered by the ballpark but both the HH and son have assured me that's not happening:(
Alex, I imagine he'll take a page from your book as far as parking in the future.
Ha on the pedal boats:)
Thanks, Natalie.

Sorry that that ball hit your son's car, that was not nice. Sounds like Murphy's law! Love the new cat in your house. Nothing really good happening here! Have a great week. Hugs, Valerie

Thanks, Christine.
Birgit, That cat is so sweet. A little love bug. Love your opener. So true:) Both butterflies are Swallowtails. I'm so sorry you're in pain. Hope you get relief soon.
Duta, It does look, for sure, and felt small compared to the water.
Thanks, Denise. The pedal boat was fun, for sure. And the cracked windshield wasn't:(
Val, Yup Uncle Murphy came to visit. I can usually find him at some family member's home if not my own. Ha. Here's hoping something really good happens at your place soon. Hugs

Janie, Pedal boats are and were fun for sure.
Sorry you needed a restart:( Hope today is a good one for you.

They can't call them pedal boats if they have engines! LOL. I'll send them an email and let them know how I feel about that...kidding.

I'm an August baby! Woot woot.

Elizabeth, Well, technically you can turn off the engine and pedal. I admit to being lazy:)
J.P. Thanks:) Sending you a hug.

Grands are the best, aren't they? Sounds like a wonderful time. And Pearl is a litte gem -- what a wonderful name for a white cat!
