Ketchup-Day

How was your weekend? Keeping warm? It got in the teens here. Now I realize the teens is almost a heat wave in some areas, but it rates a brrrr here.  What's your weather been like?

How are you doing with automated answering services these days? As irritating as they are, I can usually get through to a human being but two have stumped me. The NFL and UPS. UPS particularly told me politely but firmly she/it wasn't connecting me without more information. Or words to that effect. And all I wanted was to tell them not to  leave my packages in the drive leaning up against the garage where they could get run over when I backed out. Yikes. Has anyone else run into this?

AND just for fun:)

That's all, buds.

Very, very comfortable critters.
Stay warm.

While I have ordered online a few times, generally I don't. The entrance of our building is a total mess as there isn't a nominated place to leave parcels.

That last shot is surreal.
I can usually get a real person (though not one who speaks English well) but I've not had to fight with UPS.

I'm worried about the weather . We've got sort of arctic weather here, The sun is shining, but not warming. We're supposed to be a warm country.
Lovely garden 'remains'!

Try #'ing and @'ing them on social media. Sometimes that helps. I mean not wanting your packages ran over is very important!! Fed Ex kept leaving packages in our garage and my husband backed into two of them, breaking both. Just put it off to the side, right?

I like that last photo because it looks like the kitty is taking the picture:). Yes, we have had -15C but at least it is not -40 like out west. We have had plenty of snow but changing to rain today. Love the resting pussy cats. As for the frustration of trying to reach them...I have had where I pushed several #s to only state they are busy and goodbye..yup, it hung up on me. I would try the email route or maybe the irritating paperclip guy will show up on their website and you can ask there?

Fun pics, Sandra. Nothing more cozy than kitties and a book! We deal with strange deliveries at our house. It's like an Easter egg hunt. They put them in front of our garage door, front door, back door, by fence, at the street (the worst because we cant see it but others can), in our wood pile, on my car, in the middle of our driveway, in my car, by the garbage cans, behind a picture I am throwing away, and halfway up our deck. Its a mix of UPS, FedEx, and a couple other deliveries. I like when they leave a picture so at least I have a clue... lol i can understand if its snowing and they toss it out but in good weather its crazy. But then we have drivers who go beyond too and climb through snow to bring it our front door and ring the bell to let me know its there. You are braver than me to call them. Its so hard to get a person and then frt anything resolved. So I just hunt...xo

Love your pic of your cat in the window. And it's been even colder than the teens here. We're in a heat wave because it's in the 30's. It's a good time to stay home and read more.

Automated answering services are frustrating.

EC, Lazy bums:)
Andrew, That would make it difficult. We order online all the time. It makes life a lot easier.
Alex, I've been able to in the past too. It worries me that I can't now.
DUTA, The weather is definitely trying to tell us something. Now if the folks in power will listen.
Elizabeth, Isn't it frustrating? One of ours was ruined because they left it out in the wet weather instead of sticking it on the porch just a few feet away. Grrrr.

Birgit, I'd definitely do email, if I could find one. Don't you hate it when an automaton hangs up on you? Stay warm.
Thanks, Kinga.
Denise, Good grief. They do make you hunt, don't they? xo
Val, Right there with ya on automatons.
Natalie, Can't beat a good book in cold weather, can you?
Christine, That's for sure.
Thanks, J.P. Sending you a hug,

No problems with UPS but why are you calling the NFL? Protesting the big game? (Hey, I'm a Lions fan this year, so taking all things seriously!) LOVE the cat photos

I have this huge sign on our garage door addressing UPS and FED X and asking they NOT leave packages there as they will get wet or run over. It works most of the time. At least 1-2 times a year, someone leaves one there anyway.
