What is your word, example, sentence or meaning for:

*There are several meanings.

Mine: Joe was a nerd and smart to boot, but when he got that vacant look in his eyes as he pushed his glasses up and stared into the distance, he looked a right gubbins.

Hi Sandra - I am in EC's camp ... we have enough plastic bands from the postmen dropped at will ... but I didn't know about the chill aspect. Gubbins - yes ... I haven't used it for a while ... but it's one of those words that might pop up without me realising. Cheers and happy weekend ... Hilary

Rubber bands? Who knew?!!! Great idea. That would be a great name for a cat -- Gubbins.

We have a jar filled with rubber bands, enough to last two lifetimes, so storing them to last longer is not high on my agenda. As for the word, Gubbins, it is entirely new to me and it seems to be cheating to look it up in order to use it, so l’ll pass this time.

Never knew either of these.

Object of little value..hmm...Trump! I also have a ton of gubbins in my craft room...does that work for the other meaning?
I had no clue about elastics. I would have thought it would make it worse.

Feel free to look up new words, David. Think of it as taking an open book test. Heh.

Both news to me. Have a happy and safe Halloween. It will be busy here as the weather is unseasonable warm.

I've never heard the word "gubbins" before now. I might just have to add it to my vocabularly!

Happy Halloween...enjoy...and take care. :)

Rubber bands last longer in the fridge. Well! I don't really know what gubbins means, and spell check doesn't like the word, but I am sure it is not a good thing.

I never heard of Gubbins and had to look it up. No wonder why, it's Brit speak. I think I would have used Doofus. Happy Halloween! 🎃🐈‍⬛
