Ketch-up Day

How are you?

We got some much needed rain yesterday. I don't know if they got it in the mountains or not, but they need it worse than we do as wildfires still rage.

I used the crock pot again for some more stewed apples and pecans. And roasted cauliflower in the oven. Next up, vegetarian chili.

While we got this:

California got this.

Thanks, Denise.

How's Mother Nature treating you?

I want your chili recipe. That cauliflower looks delicious. The stewed apples look cinnamony (is that a word?).

I think I prefer your weather than Denise's.

Good grief. That last sentence should have read "I think I prefer your weather to Denise's."

Loving your garden - but I would love to see snow like that too.

The snow in California is amazing.

We got snow again yesterday. I don’t mind winter at all and prefer anything to summer heat, but spring flowers would be very welcome.

Nice little garden area. We got a ton of rain last night. Hopefully the pine pollen is now under control.

Can you come to my house and cook for me? We're still pretty cold here. I'm hoping spring comes at the end of the week.

Your spring flowers look so pretty. I,love the purple phlox( is it phlox?). Toronto got snow, we got rain because we are just a bit more south but it’s windy and freezing. I have been in bad pain since Sunday night…dumb weather.

Love those flowers.

It was rainy and dreary yesterday. It's dreary and cold today. At least, my area didn't get snow like Northern New England. Your garden is gorgeous

Hey Elizabeth, As far as the chili recipe, it's the first time using it. We'll see how it goes. You are right about the cinnamon:) I'm a cinnamon girl:)

I woke up to snow Monday morning and today is cold and windy. I long for warmer days. Your garden photos are lovely.

David, You are living in the right spot to enjoy winter, aren't you?

Alex, We got 3 inches. How much did you get? Yes, let's hope the pollen is under control.

Natalie, You'd probably get tired of stewed apples. Heh.

Sandra Cox said...

Birgit, You're exactly right. That is phlox. Your hubby would be proud of you for knowing that:) So sorry you are in pain. Hope the weather backs off soon.

Those stewed apples look great! Ah, Mother Nature is making us work for our spring. It's 28 right now and only a high in the 30s today but or once the sun is out and the sky isn't white or gray, so you grab the good!
