Writerly Wednesday AND Did You Know Thursday

What's your sentence, example or synonym for:

Example: Most folks fudgel at work at one time or another.

* This is an old 18th century English word and if it's not obsolete, it's the next thing to it. But I like it:)

AND

* Spoiler alert. If you don't live in the United States, this may be of absolutely no interest to you.

Did you know that Jefferson Davis served as the 14th President's (Franklin Pierce) Secretary of War. I found this to be so very ironic.

There is a word I've heard called futzing, which is what you do when sitting at a computer forgetting what you are supposed to be doing and doing a myriad of other things. Fudgel is a new word to me, and not liked by spellchecker.

Having looked up fudgel I have been guilty. And my partner still is where housework is concerned.

There have been times when I have been guilty of fudgelling and I am sure I am not alone. I bet my wife would agree with you. In fact, there may have been times when she felt like taking a cudgel to the fudgel! The older we get, however, the more harmony settles over us, and neither of us feels the need to fudgel!

Once again, it's all new to me.

There has been a lot of rain here and more coming this week. It made spring burst into an array of colors. Of course now, it has decided to get cold again. Feels like a fall day instead of a spring day. Love the tree. How long can you keep it inside?
