National Pie Day, huh? And on a Friday, the start to the weekend. There will be something for everyone to enjoy. Sweet or savoury, flaky crust or solid and hearty, mincemeat maybe, cherries, or steak and kidney, chicken pot pie, some even masquerading as tarts (and who doesn’t appreciate a good tart?), big pies for the whole family, individual pies, apple pie, plain pie or à la mode, perhaps swamped with English custard. Hi Jan, If fixed properly and has a good crust, apple is an excellent choice;) Thank you on the weather well wishes, we've been very, very lucky. Temp in the single digits has, thus far, been the worst of it for us. Some areas have had over 18" of snow. Cheers,
